To prepare for missing Wang Ye x OG Zhuge Qing in S2, I ended up watching most of Dashing Youth last August. Hard not to compare the og with the new ZGQ.

Hou Ming Hao only filmed for 3 days for season 2, which means we're not going to be seeing a lot this season (even though it's a short one at 13 episodes)

I'm so excited for this drama to air! Not long now~~~ Perfect timing, right before 春节

Happy ending for the two of them - they got together in the end. He ended up choosing her over hiding behind a facade of 'being perfect' in episode 20.

As a fan of the Wang Ye/Zhuge Qing bromance, I was a bit disappointed by their interaction in episode 3.

So far s2 feels like a filler arc rather than a continuation of s1 - also not sure how we're going to get the truth of the Eight Supremes in the remaining 10 episodes.

In saying that, I am enjoying the easy watch and the slapstick comedy this shows provide.

LOL, yea! That scene was 'water-spitting all over the screen' funny. So unexpected and they were so in sync!

That was a question we never got an answer to when rumors first came out a year ago that Wanyan Luo Rong wasn't returning and of course the disappointment when the cast list was formally announced.

Without spoiling anything, JOL is an absolute masterpiece! Guardians of the Dafeng is fun but JOL is something else. Though to me season 1 > season 2 hands down. Absolutely give it a try after GoTD.

I have a strong suspicion that No 1 may be Eldest Princes Huai Qing (长公主), the look she had when she accidentally saw Xu Qi An's mirror during Xin Nian's visit to the palace.

Also, we know from the Realm Sect's meeting in episode 14 that No.1 was the one who mentioned the sword in the Ancestral Temple awakening and knew about the happenings in the palace during the ceremony....which meant No. 1 would have been present there.

I just realized how versatile an actor Li Xin Ze is. He played hateful characters in this year's The Double and now as WTY in Blossom, but how could I have forgotten that he was our favourite, beloved, loyal and righteous 大师兄 Tang Lian in The Blood of Youth!

Also another drama fan who came here after finishing Blossom.

The aesthetic views of the riverside during the Qing Ming Festival drew me in. Here's to slowly enjoying this drama for the holidays.

One of the rare dramas that wrapped things up very nicely and ended on a good note without any open-ended ending. Though I would have loved to see more of Duke Ding's name and the Jiang's clan being cleared.

Also less of Song Han and Ansu and more of Chen Jia and Zhao Zhang Ru would have been great.

I had faith in Yuan Tong (Ji Yong), no way he would have sacrificed himself to save others in their previous lives only to be relegated as a stereotypical SML.
