Yes but you said Kdrama viewers don't like shows with conflict and prefer fluffy shows and I'm pointing out that both shows which are full of conflict did well in terms of ratings and audience response.

With all due respect, like you said people have different tastes. What you find unappealing, others find interesting. If people want to keep giving a drama a chance that's their own personal choice. Similarly, if they want to give constructive criticism on a PUBLIC forum that's also within their personal right. The vast majority of negative reception here is thoughtful and logical. And just because they have a different interpretation of a drama it doesn't mean they don't understand it.

This kind of thought policing where you can only give positive statements is ridiculous. KES dramas are attention grabbers by default, you will have even more people reacting to the drama. You should accept the fact that not everyone will have the same choices or thoughts that you do.

I mean Mr Sunshine , The world of the Married and Sky Castle are defn not fluffy dramas without conflict and they did well LOL So that isn't an issue for the audience

I feel like that's what interests me lol There are plenty of cheesy, sugary romances, normal and realistic romances as well as older love that's on the verge of breaking. It's refreshing every now and then to see a toxic obsessive love because that happens too. Also, personally for me as much as I enjoy my happy, slice of life lovestories in kdramas, it get can a bit mundane and I want to watch something darker as well

Huh, just because people give constructive criticism that doesn't mean they are mad or that they don't understand the show. There will always be people hating senselessly but for the most part, the comments are respectful and just point out what they see as flaws or plot holes.

I think I had high expectations for the drama because it's KES. On the other hand, while the cinematography is flawless, the writing and plot feels a bit clunky and disconnected. I really don't get why but I'm finding it hard to attach to the characters and the storyline is a bit meandering.

Regardless, the actors are doing a fine job. Can't help but wonder if the show would have been better if they had stuck with the original plot of WDH being the devil or something along those lines

I really like it haha I feel that the actress is doing an okay job as well! Can already see the contrast between how placid she was in the past and her more spirited vibe now. So interesting that they reference withering heights and Heathcliff because the show really does have that tragic, twisted love vibe

I'm just excited to see what happens. The show drags but it seems to be hitting its stride. I think Taelha and Tagon will fall off next. Taelha's decription says that she will have a strong rival and Ithink it's Tanya. Possibly for Tagon's affections and power over arthdal when he becomes a god king. Also, I hope we learn more about Yangcha

I liked the 6th episode alot more than the last one. It ends the first arc nicely and sets Tagon up as king(?) for the next arc. Is it me or was there some description somewhere that Tagon and Tanya will have a love storyline? I think the next logical step will be for Tagon and Taelha to fall out because the two of them together are too strong. Moo Baek will end up taking ES under his wing to take down Tagon
Also, (for those who haven't watched 6th yet dont read this part),
one of the brothers will die for sure.
