Definitely; while part of me feels sorry for MiSo, another part of me feels that SeolHui hasn't prepared MiSo…
Yea, I have mixed emotions about SeolHui pushing for some sort of righting the wrong when she knows how the system is set up. So it might have been kinder if she had not promised MiSo that wrong will be be put right. MiSo initially did not want to create a drama and even claimed that she didn't know the assailant. However, there was no way for SeolHui to predict the kind of actions that KyungChae will take to ruin them.

It has been at least 2 episodes of Miso's screaming and throwing things as well as Seolhui causing a commotion…
Definitely; while part of me feels sorry for MiSo, another part of me feels that SeolHui hasn't prepared MiSo for downturns of life sufficiently at all. In some ways, it is surprising that MiSo is so innocent and thinks that her mother can truly fix the situation with an apology. Thought she would be more street smart.

She is not cognizant that despite all their best efforts, things are getting worse. While it is unfair and there is grief and pain involved, MiSo hasn't learned how to accept reality. Sometimes one has to let things go and pivot.

She also seems to have no idea about why she doesn't have a dad. That might become a plot point for later if the lawyer tries to cozy up to her and MiSo abandons SeolHui for lawyer because she thinks she needs a powerful dad to get up there in life.

it’s possible that they might work together in some capacity, but in my opinion sujeong is still a bit selfish…
I was just surprised that she seemed to have some sense of conscience and there are limits to what she will do -- so this family isn't all alike.

kekeke.... ah the sort of plastic surgery/face change that only characters see. 😂

I agree, though I’m not sure of the history but did the chairman’s older 3 children grow up with him in a…
My guess is that she will use chairman to punish her. The only way for Seri to feel the weight of her actions if her family turn her back on her. Anyone else doing anything including authorities only feeds in to the narrative in her head that she is some victim of fate and people should feel sorry for her. So whatever SeolHui does has to hurt her where it hurts most. Ultimately Seri fears abandonment the most.

KyungChae essentially used money to hide the assault charges itself which is why Seri has not faced any legal consequences like a court case anywhere. However, she has been expelled from 4 or 5 schools and also been deported from one country. So there was some legal action from at least one country.

So whether it is boarding or living on her own with some nanny, the school authorities have been taking action. Because she has been expelled so many times, KyungChae also mentioned that it would be harder to find a school that would be willing to take her.

The issue wasn't her growing up abroad or away from home. Plenty of people go to boarding schools and are actually quite disciplined because boarding schools have a very strict routine. You get up at a certain time, breakfast at a fixed time, you sleep at a fixed time. If there are disciplinary issues, then the school will give punishment. Maybe you will have some sort of cleaning duty like in the kitchen, garden and so on. Or you may not get entertainment privileges like access to internet.

So Seri has never had to face the consequences of her actions and take accountability. No one has told her that her mood fluctuations is not a justified reason to lash out and hurt people. She keeps harping on the fact that she does not know who her bio mom is as a result for assault but no one has told her to quit it.

Instead, KyungChae has molly coddled her -- probably to make up for her guilt. She seems very fixated that her half-sister is bad but Seri is actually good even though it points to the contrary. 🤦‍♀️

Chairman would step in and discipline her but he has left it to KyungChae. Maybe he feels that as he is not the biological father, he does not want to get too involved. The moment he steps in, things will be very bad for Seri.

While he is someone who has zero qualms about squashing other people, he is also the sort of person who will have no qualms on hurting his own if their actions hurt his business. He will cut them off without a second thought and abandon them. That is why his children toe the line because they know he cannot be messed with. It is a pity that KyungChae hides Seri because she actually deserves to have Chairman go after her.

Didn’t that just happen in The Third Marriage? Same chairman actor.
In that drama, he was smitten by the FL's beauty. Here, it seems less likely that he put his company or family in jeopardy unless SeolHui has some winning ticket.

At least the FL is not crying all the time. She's trying, but she is powerless. You know what would be a great…
When mentioned here by others, I thought it would be a nice twist but I am not sure if that will happen here. Chairman seems to be a smart devious manipulative type person. Why would he marry SeolHui when he knows what she looks like and has interacted with her.

Chairman is right that Seri is spoiled because of KyungChae. There is no sense of accountability. She has done a crime and they are all acting like she got kicked out of class for not doing homework or something minor like that. There is no punishment or discipline. So obviously Seri will stay the same and continue to do worse because she knows that she has to do emotional drama and KyungChae will cover for her.
Strangely enough, chairman is still a better parent because his kids are disciplined enough to know that there are consequences and he will only tolerate a certain amount.

Miso told her her mum that people may believe the news and criticize her.  She kept reading the negative comments…
It is one of those do if you are damned and don't, you are still damned type situation. Online bullying is a serious issue and many do end up going into depression or worse because of the online comments. Keyboard warriors don't realize the mental effect till someone takes extreme step

I am sure mathematics is not easy for everyone but the lawyer should be able to do basic calculations. Or is he…
Sometimes, it is easy to tell ourselves a lie even when our brain knows it makes zero sense. Lawyer does not want to know or believe that MiSoo is his.

Liked the twist that it was SuJeong who reported Seri to the papers. Maybe she will team up with SeolHui later because she seems like the opportunistic sort -- whoever gets her closer to the goal of becoming CEO would be fine by her.
For how long will this family keep covering up Seri's assaults. Seri does not look like the type who will stop. What is next for her -- murder?

Just watched the subbed episode 8.Seonjae not only got Seolhui pregnant and then tried to kill his unborn baby…
There is also the possibility that KyungChae does a spin so that MiSo ends up getting up arrested for her own assault! Then it would be SeolHui's battle to get MiSo cleared and out.

Let poor Boram have a mommy- someone to lean on. If nt fr the child i would wann her to move out.
Hahaha; when I don't remember names in the dailys I watch, I just give nicknames. In my head, doctor's mom is chicken mom because she runs the chicken restaurant and MIL is pig mom because she runs a pig restaurant. 😂

It's great. 20 times better than Queen's House, I'm honestly thinking of dropping that one (finally.)
MBC at times has better quality drama than KBS but for whatever reason, their rating is always lower. Not sure why that is the case but that has been my observation. I thought SeonJoo was a good drama but it was at best 6% rating compared to Cinderella game which had more.

Yes, this drama deserves better ratings. Maybe being on MBC means it will be limited.

Should I start this ? What’s the verdict so far? 😂 I thought it was the 3rd week
It is actually good and quite dark for a daily. Usually, a murder/assault happens because of greed, accident, love etc. Here, the crime begins because Seri is an unhinged teenage psycho who is primed to be a convict. This isn't just a troubled kid who is lashing out because she has issues. No, this kid has real sociopath tendencies and the family has been burying her antics. So really not what we usually see in a daily and what we see more in prime crime dramas. Check it out!

Ah! Seonjae and Seolhui were likely in a romantic relationship long ago. Like some commenters wrote here, Miso…
When Seolhui knew that that the company had bought off so many people, why would she think that they would agree for Seri to turn herself in voluntarily? The company went through so much effort to bury the assault and she thinks they will just agree to tell the truth? She should have just gone to the media first and then let the dominoes fall.
