though for me, I started this for NiNi but stayed for their chemistry and the male lead's portrayal.
A drama kinda suffers a little bit for me personally when the male lead is terrible and still gets the girl.

its a bit of a cliche I admit but somehow I think it still kinda work, especially with a character like Jiu Chen. I suggest kinda skipping around for a while. it really picks up after 16/17.

No, I agree with you. They always have these “older” male type lead that aren’t actually older. So it’s actually really amazing that they pick him. He’s the perfect portrayal of the god of war. I love his settle expressions. Soo good when you catches it.

He’s honestly such a good guy. His characterization is so different from a lot of male lead. The definition of maturity.

Love how he stood on the sideline helping her out here and there but not overbearing about it. Even sweeter that he’s always checking up and protecting on the side to make sure she grow up well ????

Going into the drama, I didn't expect much from him tbh. I thought he was. gonna be one of those controlling powerful male type character. But his mild manners way is refreshing to. watch.

comparing him to Ye Hua and Dong Hua, he is way ahead! (and I love the other two, but honestly speaking they really are manipulative at times)

hopefully they continue to do right by him and Ling Xi until the end!
