Just a remark but this is something which regularly flood comments sections of BL series. Judging the quality of a drama/series by its nationality/origin (whether in a "positive" or "negative" way) has always sound weird to me . Some people always bring this kind of "argument". Because it is Japanese, Korean, or Taiwanese, does not make it automatically "superior" though. Just like because it is "Thai" does not make a series "inferior". In both cases, this vision is purely racism. And you are just a bunch of very prejudiced people in fact.
Well it started quite well but the -not so good- story and unadequate pace kill the good points of the series : the convincing acting and cinematography. They should have worked on the scenario a lot more !
Unfortunately, this is getting disappointing as the series shows more and more its shortcomings. The "plot" grows even more uninspired (the gangster twist is too predictable to be a real twist for example). The lack of true tension in that same plot but -surprisingly- also in the development of the romance (!), the use of easy tropes and certain one-dimensional second characters (the sister...), the inadequate pace don't help too. It's a pity because, on other aspects, Unknown has such well-made features, has started really greatly, have really good acting. The disappointment is also greater with a series which have all the aspects of being made "seriously" than for the usual "silly" "BL" series from which you don't really expect much. A missed opportunity.
Nice series but something is lacking in the story. I guess it is because of the usual cliches, or maybe because of the novel it is based on. Yuan character is so well played by the actor than the other characters seem bland in comparison.
You cannot blame people/fans for doing so though. Since they are...fans. If you don't want "false" rating, change the rules of your site and the code behind it...You cannot expect people to be perfect...So viki is at fault here.
Not great for sure but not that bad I guess (?). People saying nothing happened...are you serious ? This is only the beginning of the series...Characters are introduced, we also learn about some conflict, etc. 2 episodes, that means only 30 minutes...What do you want to happen within the first 30 min of a series !!!!!????? But I'm more bothered by the way it is filmed when Mew talks with another person. They tend to show those scenes too separately (only showing Mew when he talks and then when the other person talks, only the other person). It feels disjointed ? The editing seems weird in those scenes. I guess it is because characters talk with two different languages.
Ok now I believe they are all ghosts haunting that place in the mountains lol anyways there seems to be many references to thai ghosts in the series : - Phi Tai Hong, the vengeful ghost : they can also kill people who were close to their murderers/who has wronged them violently too (poor White) - Phi Kong Koi, the crippled/vampire ghost (with one leg) : remember that masked man with crutches ? (remember what happens to Keng and that blood on him ?) - Phi Tabo, the blind ghost with hollow eyes (Fluke...) - Phi Hua Khat, the headless ghost (that poor uncle...)
And Non walking into the water is also a reference to a thai ghost but I don't remember the name. it's also a vengeful ghost.
The hallucinations kind of debunk the supernatural element tbh - unless Non is definitely dead and is coming for…
If it's a curse, that means we can have a DeadFriendForever season 2 ! I fear that with only one episode left, it will not be enough to wrap up everything in the story.

This is just an assumption. Because of what the director says in an interview. And considering that Uzumaki reference and how it ends...I think none of them will survive, New too. White will be the only one alive, maybe ? Perhaps there's a supernatural element in this too. They have talked about a curse (?). Non family dies. The teacher dies. Por dies. Top dies. etc. In a way, all the people who have bullied him, failed him when he needed them the most, have a "bad" ending. There has been a theory about White too.
Why Tee is still with that group of friends then ? If he really wants to change...after all the bad things he has done to Non....and now White will be caught in that mess, like Non..I guess Tee is making the same "errors" again...But in order to have a "redemption", you still have to be responsible and answer to the wrong things you have done...which didn't exactly happen...Another hypocrit...Being grey is not an excuse for not taking responsability of what you have done...

Exactly ! And if it's a curse, it will explain why everyone is getting crazy at one point (and killing each other). Non' death has brought a curse on all the people who have failed him and/or bullied him ? That would include not only the group of bullies but also his family...
The director saying it is not a romance and lot of characters die (?). Interesting ! I wish they keep a supernatural element in the story though (maybe later ?). After all, they have talked about a curse too, so maybe there is something there ?

They have the same frame of mind as those fans hating Copper. They consider Jin and Copper to be the same in fact...Because you can like an actor and dislike the character he's playing too right ?
