I'm not even sure readers will even be able to understand the BL story they are reading. Because they will miss all the layers and the complexity of the story...
✨Rings, Necklaces, and Heists: When a BL Goes Full “Magic Ring” Drama✨Alright, let’s talk about that…
Yep. People just lack understanding in what they see. It's depressing in fact. They are a lot of symbols in the plot. Like the meaning of the tarot cards too...
This series has gone all over the place. And often time the plot, scenario, and action sequence are rather cheesy…
I always find it weird to see that people not liking (and complaining) the series since day 1, are still commenting on it (and sounding like a broken record), 11 episodes later. I don't have that level of obsession, congrats.
I have no idea where everyone is getting "the ring is supernatural/magic" from. There are definitely plot holes…
Same. It's not magic or superpower but a symbol. It seems to me that each of the four horsemen has a ring which symbolizes their power (?). In the case of the "seal ring", and the context around it, there is also a "subtle" political meaning behind it.
The actors are deliVERING! I don't think I've watched a breakdown scene so well acted.... because War! The actors…
yep their acting is really great ! as for the plot/script, well, it is as it is. But I've seen way worse. And it's more difficult to make an action/heist scenario than a slice of life/romance only one. It's not the same budget. The pace is not the same at all too. But there is still some food for thought : meaning of the tarot cards, complex characters, the symbolic of objects, etc. Let's see how episode 12 unfolds. But it will definitely feels rushed.
For the people shaming, showing contempt for an audience just because they watch BL...and/or portraying a distorted view on that audience... But are you even aware you belong too to that BL audience ? That means you're basically hating yourself too lol ? But to each their own. But let's be honest here. Here, this is not really a matter of a series of being bad or good. Nope. Well, not only. There is something else too. This is also a matter of : - jealousy (comparison) - prejudice (mysogyny, political view, conventional view on creative works), - competition (the obsession with the rating), - and just lack of understanding. Of course flaws exist. But qualities too. Otherwise, you're not really honest in your comment.
Director: I am not comfortable shooting this. I mean aside from the central romance and Joke's family issues,…
- It makes sense but that means you have to pay attention to details... - Of course, the ring has a meaning but a symbolic meaning and a political one... - this is not a comic book ? because you think that the usual fight scenes in action movies, when people throw punches everywhere and are still able to stand after are believable too ? Everything is a question of norms and convention. It is a just a matter of perspective and of letting go of your own prejudices. - The series is not centered around the romance only so the "argument" as : "boys kiss and flirt, audience will be ok", doesn't really apply in this case...Hell even fans have been complaining about that... - and btw that argument about BL and their audience, and your view on this audience, sorry but this is just mysogyny and contempt...this seems another prejudice you seem to have... - In short, let's stop with the bad faith...
Episode 11 is absolutely amazing ! Love it soooooo much ! In fact it's in this episode you see why every character introduced in the series has their importance in the end ! They all have a role to play. So everything is coming all together quite nicely in fact. Best episode from the series for me !
And now only one episode left...
And the acting...omg the acting (especially from War, gosh I hope he'll continue acting) is phenomenal. It is so great !
Please people watch the series and watch it entirely ! And don't listen to people complaining only about the flaws here, they are blind about the undeniable qualities of the series (and those qualities easily overtake the flaws) !
Because this series has a heart and sincerity. And I largely prefer an imperfect raw diamond than a polished and well-made but bland and without any savor piece of glass...
Some thoughts for episode 10: - Again, dreams, romance, lightness, innocence are broken by harsh realities. - Lies, hidden truth, miscommunication weaken a burgeoning relationship. And the distance is in fact still there. Jack is not comforting Joke at the end. But Joke has comforted Jack when Grandma was ill. Jack's "I love you" doesn't sound the same as the one said by Joke. Jack still cannot fully trust Joke. - A ring that is a symbol of power, an object coveted by the Boss for his own reasons (vengeance but not only...ambition and greed are there too). Joke has literally helped him in fact making some kind of "coup d'état", thus the meaning of the tarot card "the fool" (?). Indeed, a true fool. And also a fool for giving up explaining everything to Jack, because of his terrible feeling of guilt.
The ring has so much power because everyone believes it has power/ a high value in the series. It is symbolic. Just like in our society (and in the series), we believe money has power while in "itself", it's really worth nothing. But because everyone believe in the power/value of money (it's in fact just a "tool" and not a purpose in itself), a piece of paper, a number means a lot.
Four (stupid) little pigs Four (villain) horsemen Four symbols A ring to rule them all Some champagne A heartbreak 💔 And one kiss 🔥 This episode is so entertaining !
I know Joker's brother just means well by saying their father misses his second son. But honestly I still hate…
I still haven't forgotten Joke when he was a child, doing his english homework, and the distress he felt from that...He was not born in a supportive family at all...But at least his dad has helped Grandma. So he's not totally "bad" I guess. But I still don't like him.
Lompran is a villain ! but at least he doesn't "pretend". "A servant is still a servant ma'am !". It's not for nothing they draw this parallel at the beginning of the episode between Lompran's little game and Rose project "free people from the debt" with that temple lady. In both cases, they're playing with people lives and dreams/hopes.
