I find him to be a lovely actor. He's charming, handsome (seemingly ageless? He's almost 40 and looks like he's in his 20s), and clearly talented... I just want his characters to not suffer all the time. Hopefully this role is easy on him. 👀

Like I said, Hwa-Young is the real protagonist to me. I liked Ham Eun-Jung in Queen's House because the FL actually grew a backbone and got revenge ruthlessly... we need smarter/better FLs in daily dramas. The only "good ones" I've seen are the morally grey or villainous ones (and people usually deny that they exist for some bizarre reason, lol)

And I fully blame the writer... you can write good characters/heroines without making them inept idiots 😭 like at least I rooted for Jae-In in Queen's House because she GREW, smartened up, and did things on her own. Jang-Mi has done none of that... she is frustrating for a supposed "lead"/heroine. 😑

He actually did play a main role in several dramas before Penthouse- his first remarkable main role was in Return (I think he won an award for it.)

Despite the dragging subplots. Personally the only character I like in First Man is the villain Hwa-Young... otherwise, it's not great to me either. 😂 I haven't watched a new episode in about a week or 2. I dropped PIR so those are 2 letdowns- both revenge dramas that turned out to be not-so-revenge dramas lmao

In my opinion First Man mostly has far better acting than this one... cringy comedy scenes don't take over the whole drama either. 👀 I think the next KBS2 drama should be better...

Hwa-Young is basically the true lead/protagonist of this drama. I'm rooting for her- Jang-Mi feels like a total disappointment so far!
