Really good first 2 episodes. They mixed in that makjang flavor and lots of melodrama right into an intense dramatic political thriller. I'm excited to see what's next, and my big theory right now... Chu Sang-Ah might end up being the main villain. OR worse than everyone thought. I know she was a victim of trafficking, but... what if she was a victim who became the villain as a result of her trauma? 👀 How are she and Chairman Kwon connected? 🤔
Most daily dramas (especially the revenge ones) are considered makjangs, so yes!
Balanced how? I think the tone is severely unbalanced, the drama can't choose whether it wants to be a family sitcom or an actual revenge drama 90% of the time. But maybe that's because I got sick of the stupid gag scenes and awful writing, and dropped it. 😂

It was a conversation that I had with my older sister (one of them, who also watches k-dramas, not dailies though), that finally pushed me to drop it. I think First Man is much better and stronger right now, though I haven't watched that in a while either!
