I also just read your review for city hall. This is my 2nd time trying to start this drama, but wanting to drop it after the 1st episode (even though I usually watch at least 5 before dropping). After reading your review I'm going to continue to power through it, since I too love both leads.

Thanks so much! I appreciate it, since I always feel a little wary when giving any sort of negative critique to "classics" or "favorites".
And I definitely needed to watch something light, and fluffy, afterwards. : )

even after the end of episode 12 I don't have any hope left for Big. Alas, I will still watch the last 4 episodes just to get my Gong Yoo fix :)
maybe, by some miracle, the last episodes will be much better... but i'm doubtful

Thans for accepting me! I couldn't agree more with what you wrote about "Big", but at least I get to see Gong Yoo again :)

I did see it. I honestly liked the kid versions more than the adults (even though
Jung Il Woo is one of my favorites)
Is the name Sam Soon funny because it's the korean equivalent of american names like Beatrice, Myrtle, or Gertrude? Is there a bigger joke that i'm missing?
i can't believe i waited this long to jump on the kim sam soon bandwagon! i'm already calling it a favorite after 5 episodes. i hope this feeling lasts.
i guess I'm a bad person, but I couldn't stop laughing when the mom was shot. That scene should have had me in tears, but i couldn't take it seriously. who yells "hey you" then shoots a woman in the back in order to "rob" her. do the hong sisters really think black people in america just run around shooting random people in the back? so stupid! why didn't they just shoot Gyung Joon too while they're at it? That's just lazy writing.
I was not impressed with the episodes this week. bummer : (
i definitely didn't expect you to change your mind at all, I was just curious. : )
I guess i was just really sucked into the idea that he was willing to go ahead with the relationship even if she was a he. I thought it was really deep, & it got me emotionally. I also liked how awkward things became for the 2nd lead when he decided to kiss/seduce her. I guess most importantly I fell in love with the main characters, and viewers who don't will probably not be as impressed.
In general, when there's a drama everyone but you seems to LOVE, of course you will feel it's overrated. It's exactly how I feel about prosecutor princess (i wish i would have skipped it), or Queen In Hyun's Man (which was just ok imo).
