I thought the exact opposite. I thought it had one of the strongest plots, which is why it's one of my favorites, but the plot is more centered on relationships than events.
Maybe if you're looking for more "things" to happen to the characters, or you're more drawn in by action, then you'd be bored. I love well told relationship stories, and to me, that's this plot's strength. It also helps that the acting is top notch imo. The relationships are realistic, even though the premise it extreme. I also like that it's a 'grown up' drama with characters doing more than hugging, and that many of the conflicts are internal, and not just an evil character trying to ruin a good love story.
Whenever I truly love a drama, and this is hands down one of my top 2 favorites, I am curious to know what others are unimpressed with. To me, it's part of the fun of this site : )
Waiting for Big episodes IS torture, that's why I'm also watching Love Rain. I think I'll probably watch My Girl next. It's a favorite of the friend that got me hooked on kdrama, so I've been meaning to check it out, I just never got around to it.
I fell for Lee Seung Ki watching Gumiho, then Shining Inheritance, and K2H sealed the deal. He made me permanently dump Lee Min Ho off my top 5 list. That says a lot! lol.
apparently a bunch of folk from the future came back to tell us how good this is.

Right now I'm watching Big & Love Rain. So far I'm enjoying both, but it's too early for me to have a real opinion about either. I do like seeing Jang Geun Seok in his corny 70's and conceited 2012 versions, and I can't say enough good things about Gong Yoo's shirtlessness!
I see that you've added king2hearts to your top 5 too. That's the best one I've seen this year so far.
Aw, no worries, I wasn't offended by your comment per se. I just realized the recent trend of comparing dramas…
When I started watching Queen In Hyun's Man it was because there was nothing but stellar reviews on this page. Naturally, members that disagree, are going to want to get there 2 cents in too. I think, as long as no one insults you personally for your opinion ( "you're an idiot if you like this", "you're too stupid to get why this is so awesome") then everything is on the table. If people insist this is the best drama EVER, of course people are going to bring up dramas that they think are much better.
I also agree that people can fall in love quickly, I just never got the impression that they did. They liked each other for sure, that was the thing I liked most about the drama (their chemistry), but I never felt the intense love that this drama was going for. I agree with others that the acting was lacking for that reason.
Oh and for everybody who thinks that the ending was stupid, I recommend reading wanderlust's comment on the recap…
i read it, and thought it was a really smart analysis, but the writing was not my issue with this drama. I personally liked the story, it was the execution of the story that i was often unimpressed with.

I think people are becoming emotionally invested in this drama, and are choosing to be offended when someone decides to criticize it. I get that people who liked it are excited about cheering this drama on, but there also should be room left for people who disagree.
I am one of the people who was not effected by YIN's tears. It's not that she was unable to cry believably, it was that I felt no deep emotion in the tears. For me, she often reminded me of a child who sulks because her toy is taken away. Another actress, like Yoon Eun Hye, would have probably made me cry easily. Plus, as much as I liked to watch them flirt, I was never convinced there was a deep emotional bond between the leads, just the desire to see each other again. This drama also didn't build up slowly to romance the way other dramas do, which was exciting to watch, but stopped a deep connection with the couple.
do you think that Gil Da Ran will fall for Kang Gyung Joon and gonna be older woman younger man thing ?
all signs seem to be pointing toward a romantic thing (picking her up, almost kissing her). At first I thought she would just be his surrogate mother, but signs seem to point toward a double love triangle with Gil Da Ran in the middle of both. I'd rather have something less predictable happen though.
if Gong Yoo is shirtless at least once every episode consider me a fan!

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I expected to be voted down a lot, but I didn't want that to stop me from being honest. Whenever a drama has too many "outstanding" reviews I usually keep an eye out for the person who wasn't so impressed for a more balanced perspective. MDL is my first stop when I'm deciding on a new drama, and I agree that only having reviews by avid fangirls isn't very helpful.
If my review can be helpful to one person, well that's good enough for me. It's payback for the reviews that help me.

How about you? Anything you'd recommend?
Nice to meet you too : )
and thanks for adding me.
