The thing is that the people were never fully and truthfully told who lit up the city and we are watching the war from their perspective. If you read up on it though, wiki mentions that it was the ruling party that lit up the city and blamed local officials. This play into why Xue Jun Shan was arrested
Officially became my favourite Chinese drama. It was too good. The acting was awesome, the portrayal of the time was very well done. Very heavy but it was a good watch. It showed the realities of the period.

That moment when she was found guilty of apparently lying about a bunch of things he did to her... Even lying about being pregnant to get money. I also didn't like him until everything came out to be a lie.
This had so much potential to be more than what it is. SO MUCH POTENTIAL! I want to cry on how it fell so short.
James character was the best thing of this series and Nuth's father. Every other character was plain annoying. To be honest I prefer the Som to the "uncle". He was the worst. Such disgusting character. Pure filth of a person.
To be honest. I really liked it. I had high expectation about what they would do since I follow the manga. They changed up some thing but it was well done. Also, I don't mind the ending as it is still something to look forward as the manga is still ongoing.

He is "stiff" per say because that is what the character is. If you read the love O2O book then you will know that he actually played the character really well. His character here is "poker face" therefore emotions are obviously not what he is supposed to be showing... I have watched other projects where he showed emotions and he did well.
In MY own opinion, this drama was reasonably good (compared to most lakorns) but heavily overhyped. The best part for me was Jane, Jade, Dao and Jee. Every other character was a nuisance. Chaiyan was constantly not being there for his wife and because of this Piak was being a child on how to handle being ignored. Sathit was the worst of the worst. Like I understood his anger at first then it became kind of annoying how illogical he was especially since he is supposed to be a lawyer.
I have to give it to the writer though. Sathit and Piak were fit to be siblings. They were both illogical.
I also didn't see the "love" grow between the main characters. Like Dao has a better love story for me. The had good chemistry I admit but it felt like Jee was just being constantly jabbed for absolutely no reason.
Watching the first 5 and last 5 episodes will give you a better drama. MY OWN OPINION. *hand off*

I am honestly not sure if I should watch this. Like.. I loved Yang Yang character and the way Bing Qing acted out the "bai cao" character. It will be hard to adjust. I am not sure if it is worth it.
