I want to like this so much! I do like a lot of things about it, the acting, cinematography etc. But every episode is a repeat of making them alternately look guilty and the main guy with his maniac laugh repeatedly. Every episode! Over and over. They do have me hooked enough to find out how it ends, but it annoys me that I'm forced to sit through so much repetition. I'm hoping this will change in the second half of the show.

Just watched ep26 and it's just getting better and better for me. I hope I don't have to wait long for the next ep!

I'm on ep 20 and finding it really hard to see how poorly the family speaks and acts toward TD and TG. I don't usually enjoy seeing bad characters get their due, but if this show doesn't do that, I feel like it's sending a very poor message.

Yes, I was using 'date' loosely. It was definitely highly inappropriate and I've had terrible things like said to my face while working in nice hotels. So I get how bad it is. But it doesn't warrant a murder threat. Also, when it actually happens to you, you want to stay safe from what is an attack. That request was already an assault on her. Having been in that situation more than once, I felt her response was a fantasy of the writer that I just can't agree with. Of course, we have to be willing to suspend disbelief when viewing TV, movies, even plays. But the writer has to give us sufficient reason to do that. They fell short here for me. It was poorly done and unrealistic, and in contrast with the other realistic aspects of the job that they got right, it was incongruous and awkward and makes women look like poor decision makers, not strong.

This show woke up my customer service ptsd. 😭😅 And I'm struggling with the weird character set up of the FL. She's so innocent and kind, yet she threatens to murder a guest for asking her on a date?? Yes, his ask was inappropriate but didn't warrant the threat of murder. I didn't even finish the first episode, so I'm not sure I'm going to be able to pick this up after all. The backstabbing of jealous coworkers is spot on though, asking with many other aspects of hotel work. *shudder*

Has anyone noticed the painting in room of Tae Gyeong's parents? It looks like a floating pile of ... I can't even say it!! 😳😳😳😳🤣😅

I felt the same at first, but I started to get into the juicy soap opera feel of it, and now I'm on ep 15 and I'm hooked. Sometimes it's annoying how stupid the characters decisions are but that's how they set things up to illustrate all the outcomes of bad behavior. Ultimately I like it after I gave it a chance.

I loved him in Love with Flaws. it's an excellent rom com. Very witty too!

This was the first kdrama I ever watched. I loved the first two-thirds of it, but had to bail on it for the exact reasons you give. It was a delightful rom com and police procedural combo, with great actors all around. But the writer seemed to inexplicably decide to make it a veryy cruel and violent horror show. It was a massive change in tone, since the genre just completely changed. It's weird the first kdrama I ever watched was liked this. I still have a trauma around it too, because I drop shows the second it seems like they're getting dark. But I'm still glad I watched it, and I recommend it, as long as folks drop it by ep12. 😂

I'm so relieved to hear the surgery went well, but wow, this is more serious than I thought it was when it was originally announced she was ill. I'm praying she continues to heal well and takes as much rest as she needs. I wonder what she means by, "I am making a biorhythm by doing Pilates 5-6 times a week." Is this a reference to a certain type of cancer treatment?
