Yu hit that right on the head! I'm watching an action show right now and realized that I don't have to fast forward. In almost every romance show (my favorite genre) I have to fast forward because of all the extra people that need screen time, drunk behavior, no confession until at least 3/4 of the way through, rushed disappointing endings.
Thank you, he's gotten a little bit better and strangely he has more time with Jin than the guy that died! I would have liked to have seen better bonding between them.
I was pleasantly surprised when I watched this show. He could have come off as an entitled jerk. He was wonderful in this show. And their relationships developed so naturally. Loved it!
That's why the ratings are often skewed, because people rate the drama based on their "favorite" actor. It should…
Very good points. Since I don't watch a show until it's been completely released, the repetitive scenes are even more apparent than if I had just watched it week by week, while watching other shows as well.
I liked your review. This was one of my favorite C-dramas. I really appreciated how healthy their relationship was, plus, I'm a sucker for "we knew each other as kids".
So what went wrong with this drama? Usually people rate Lee Jae Wook dramas with high 8s
That's why the ratings are often skewed, because people rate the drama based on their "favorite" actor. It should be an overall rating, for writing, directing, acting, etc. The screenwriter is relatively inexperienced, with all dramas rated in the 7's. It sounds to me like this drama is just a train wreck all around. I would like to thank everyone that said specifically why they didn't like this drama. I can save myself a lot of aggravation by skipping this one.
Really great review, and NOT just because I agree with most of what you said. I'm glad to read that there is another person in this world that sees the same thing in Park Shin Hye - the same in every role.
TQ dear. I love Korean Dramas but am so heartsick as more and more Korean Dramas are beginning to follow many…
I occasionally watch Chinese shows. The dubbing really irritates me, and they are SOOOO long with a lot of wasted time. That said, there have been a few that I can recommend - Dating in the Kitchen, Exclusive Fairytale, You Are My Glory (I skimmed over the science space talk, but these two had great chemistry), Love Can't Be Said, Hidden Love (one of my absolute favorites!!). If you want to try a Japanese show, From Me to You is good. In the Chinese shows, there is sometimes premarital sex, which is unfortunate, but at least it's not done in a sleazy way. It's usually intimated by a lead up and then moves on to the next day.

And, if you are like me, you probably started watching K-dramas to get away from all the sex, violence and language so prevalent in Western shows. I'm so sad that Koreans seem to have jumped on the bandwagon.
