I finished ep 8 and consider dropping this. Is it worth watching? The pacing is slow and the writing is incoherent and predictable, the FL & ML are boring as hell and have no chemistry whatsoever. The only interesting character is the antagonist but I don’t think I can sit through 8 more hours just for him
Dropping this at episode 8, it’s too repetitive and corny. The scenes that are supposed to be emotional with the sad bgm just make me cringe and the bad writing is hard to look past. There are no interesting well written characters at all amongst the students. The love lines are so useless and forced, none of the students have any platonic or romantic chemistry. It’s not scary, suspenseful or thrilling. The only sub plot and character I care about is the detective and his vlogger-children-seoul uni cop team trying to not die and find the laptop. If you want to see zombies just watch kingdom.
Rewatching this show and something has been bothering me. Jo heebong’s car accident.. right after he came back from the US to tell tobin tax team about the date bahama has audit he got into a car accident and almost died. In the hospital he said there is a possibility bahama did something to his car but his team member brushed it away by “no way since you’re not playing important part in this” but later on we found out he was indeed playing a big part and eugene knew both about the tobin tax and the team that was created to stop him from selling jungin bank. Trying to kill off heebong because he could possibly cause more harm than good to bahama makes the eugene character more complex and dark but it’s a bit too cruel. I think im overanalysing things but it’s interesting to me that the writer decided to leave some questions unanswered because it makes eugene way more unpredictable than I thought when I watched this for the first time.
Im currently watching ep 4 and I just noticed it’s 12 episodes, I really thought this was another 6 episode mini series because there is no way they can drag this running from classroom to classroom plot for this long. I can’t help but compare this to kingdom, it’s not scary, the plot is not new or interesting enough, the characters are not fleshed out enough, there is no suspense or thrill, even with unnecessarily graphic scenes and gores it’s just not shocking. I found the sexual assault scene in the beginning so unnecessarily explicit, you can portray sexual assault in fiction without using it as shock value. Kingdom: ashin of the north is a good example. Im considering dropping this if nothing interesting happens, it’s so repetitive and the female characters are so badly written.
I hated this movie, it made me feel desperate and hopeless. I think it was an amazing movie, beautiful slowburn but I hated how it made me feel after rewatching it and grasping all the small details.
The start was great.. Especially how they dealt with saving the top 1%.. however the ending was bad when they…
I disagree, they were both morally grey multifaceted characters. Throughout the drama they had lines they didn’t want to cross as it didn’t align with their morals and principles. The ending made sense but I don’t think the justice they were seeking was societal but personal. From their standpoint they were both wronged by him and seeked justice for themselves.
I love the female lead <3 finally a properly fleshed out COMPLEX female lead. I was so sick of those good woman characters and manichean “strong” female leads, she is a gem amongst terribly written kdrama female leads. It actually makes alot of sense why those 2 men specifically were both enchanted by her considering their position and personality but I wouldn’t expect inexperienced people to realize that. So happy it was kim hyesoo who ended up taking this role, you can tell she is a seasoned actress by how she executed this role.
The only complaint I have is I think lee dongwook failed to execute yinwoo’s complexity. His acting wasn’t bad but he was overshadowed despite being the male lead
it's total cringe if you ask me🤣 like a higher budgeted but worse writing vr of Circleit pretended to be something…
I have to agree the story was very underwhelming and some parts were cringy especially compared to the serious atmosphere it try to keep until the end.
The crisp cinematography and directing made me tolerate all the ridiculous pseudoscience but the bad writing at the end downgraded the quality of the show too much for me. What’s fun to read as a webtoon is most of the time not as entertaining as a tv show you have to sit and watch for hours. Here we have another webtoon turned into kdrama where the plot is underdeveloped and the characters are not fleshed out enough yet great acting by the actors barely managed to save the one dimensional boring characters. It was enjoyable enough to watch but the story is definitely not on par with the amazing directing.
I find the hate towards jia unnecessary lol this is a dating show she’s allowed to date around. It was obvious everyone joined the show for fame / to promote their business but it doesn’t bother me I watched it for the drama. I still think all the girls can do so much better. It’s so funny to me that the only man I found remotely attractive on the show ended up alone
