PJE is really manipulative, it’s easy to tell he’s only being kind when he’s losing control of her and feels a sense of ownership over her. He wasn’t being jelous about eunhan, he was angry someone else was near his prey. He’s only nice to her to have access to her and his kindness is extremely conditional. He’s the definition of “nice guys” who are only nice to women because they want something from her. He pretended to be worried and care for her only so she can drop her guard and get his way with her.

For the people wondering what happened to mootaek in the end, he was exterminated. The scene was cut from the movie but in the end he died.

I actually wish they had kept some of the cut scenes in the movie. Sungjae wore king’s clothes (with a mask) and fought with the FL to get killed instead of the king so she can quench her thirst for revenge and not get killed. It explains why the king asked sungjae do you love her enough to give up your life. The answer was yes, he didn’t hesitate to end his own life to save her’s.
