No, I get it; I also had a drama that greatly impacted me, mostly because of the people who played the characters. I didn't relate to any of the characters, yet Donghoon became one of my all-time favourite fictional characters. He was very much suited for the role and gave life to it. Otherwise, there wouldn't be that much impact if a different person played it. Lee was one of the few actors I felt were made for their roles, which can be rare in Kdramaland for me.
I understand. I didn't cry a lot while watching it for the first time, except for the one time Jian cried when Donghoon defended her; dont remember which episode, though. But rewatching it now will hit so much harder since he is not here. His character was compelling and realistic but also flawed, which wouldn't be brought to life without him. So sad.

I cried SO much; never have I ever for any other show on this website. I didn't really think of it as giving false hope, but I can kind of see why. To me, though, they were way much more than first loves and more like soulmates. So bittersweet.
can somebody please explain that last scene in last episode ............ were they hinting a second season or…
No, I don't think the show would ever have a second season; very unlikely. I don't know if you were referring to the What Your First Love scene at the end, but that would not be to hint at a second season at all. I think it was there to conclude that Na Heedo was Baek Yijin's first love no matter what and to also rub salt in our wounds...
I see, but I meant that the impact 2521 had on me is unlike anything I have ever seen; that's why it edges My Mister in quality for me. I don't have Instagram, but I do have Twitter. Do you?
I greatly liked My Mister, but it's second to 2521. I think it's because of the more significant impact 2521 had on me, and I found it more relatable. It's nice to see someone liking both dramas a lot. What did you like about My Mister the most?
True, I have yet to watch other critically acclaimed ones like Mother (2018) and Stranger (2017), but I could talk about these two dramas forever. I wasn't a big fan of CLOY and R88, but they're still good.
I voted for the drama on five different accounts, lol. I don't know why Business Proposal is so highly rated.…
I'm not saying that we always need profound, emotional stuff masterpieces (the word masterpiece is overused a lot), but I think there are better ways to stick to lighter plots without being too cliche, you know? It doesn't seem like a proper excuse for lazy writing.

Lol, I am going to skip it anyway. I have meant to watch some of Junho's works, like The Red Sleeve, but I am too scared to be emotionally damaged even from all the great things I have heard about the drama. On the other hand, I have yet to hear really great things about Yoona's acting, either.

Precisely. It's fun, but does it really deserve to rank among the most favourite dramas of all time???? No, not at all. There can be other romcoms with a more original plot than Business Proposal, and since it has a score of 8.7, which is too high, like an 8.4-8.5 max. It's exactly why I didn't watch King the Land, but BP is probably better anyway.
