Actually, despite being the same story, the movie and the series are done by two different production houses; they're really two completely unassociated productions.
The movie sequel is expected to be released in 2019, pre-production's already begun from what I've heard. The second season of the series was announced, but that's all.
And I agree with your assessment of Bank, but most BL is really quite unrealistic anyway. :D

As someone mentioned elsewhere, season 2 doesn't seem as funny because the EngSubs available are horrible. During season 1, I was quite impressed, not just with how well the language was translated, but how well the intended humor was too. It's rare that humor is able to cross such boundaries.
I get a feeling that Gus acts more over-the-top flamboyant in season 2 BECAUSE of his hair. Probably my biases showing, but I seemed more able to accept the character of Gus as a "toot" with blond hair. With darker hair, I feel like the actor had to camp it up to come across as gay better.
This is NOT BL because the characters are actually gay. BL is about straight guys who just happen to fall in love and have gay sex. BL frequently disparages people like this show's main characters, usually by making them 'safe' by making them buffoons.
This show's characters ARE buffoons too, but they're also fleshed out into real people. That said, this show is HILARIOUS! You'll laugh AT them, then cry WITH them later.

They made the trailer and uploaded it to see how the reactions would be, and they thank you for the fans who have been expressing their interest and anticipation. They got many contacts from many streaming platforms and for that, they are very grateful.
They discussed and gave it a try. Their plan was to make a series with 13 episodes. They tried to find sponsors and only got to shoot the first 3 episodes since January last year. What you see on their Youtube channel are from those 3 episodes. They used those 3 episodes trying to find sponsors, which was impossible. The crew decided to take a break from making this series without posting an official statement. They really want to make it happen, but they can't and they're really sorry for that.
At first, they only posted 10 chapters online because they wanted people to find out about the rest in the series. But the writer is rewriting the novel, even if there might not be a series there will be a novel so people can read it.
