Watched epi 7&8, I FEEL FOR KUNLUN SOOO MUCHH. The Empress is such a bitch. She literally treats him like an unwanted piece of garbage. I hate how they keep blaming him for every little thing that happens just because he's joyful and is mischievous. I love how he raised his voice despite being slapped (Empress I better not see you or imma hunt you). Both the brothers are just burdened with their annoying af parents and their selfish desires. They don't deserve it.

LuYao and Kunlun are cute but I am not sure if she likes Jinxiu or not. She blushes around him which is annoying. Girl, open your eyes! Jinxiu doesn't want you!!!!!!! Good thing that Kunlun too doesn't feel anything for her yet. I love the scene where she tries to lure Kunlun but he's like "trying to trick me? Good luck next time bitch!". THANKFULLYYYY KUNLUN ISN'T AS STUPID AND POWERLESS LIKE WHAT I HAD IMAGINED HIM TO BE

God! Jinxiu in love is more cute than Hongning. He was literally going through the scrolls like a love sick fool reading romance books and he still believes he doesn't have any symptoms 🤣.

I'm so seated for their millennial ago story lol. Especially LuYao and Kunlun's. The last scene where she faints and he catches her ---- butterflies butterflies lmao. Honestly I wasn't expecting her to become so proactive all of sudden in the illusionary trap 🤣

Those who are complaining about the childish FL (and bangs, well I diskike em' too so no justification for that) ::: she's transformed into her human form for the first time. She's literally a FLOWER with no one teaching her how to behave properly or act decently (they were literally teaching her the difference between men and women in epi 6). She's almost like a baby trapped inside a large body. How can you not expect her to act childish? It wouldn't make sense if she already acts mature. She's not acting cute on purpose unlike the other dramas. She's a flower spirit and she's meant to be chirpy, chatty and funny (at least until her heart's broken)

I can understand what the case with it is — heavy use of VFX +the plot and character list is too complex to be watched mindlessly. LNF is a typical xianxia and has humor so it's easy to sit through the episodes without forcing our brains to remember the cast and the details. I personally felt like that while watching LIP so I've kept it on hold😭. I'll watch it when I've the energy to invest in it

of course not! some prefer the novel, some prefer the drama. and it's true that the drama is indeed very different from the book. i personally prefer the drama more but it doesn't make me unwelcome those who like the book better

This is actually getting better. I like how chaotic the leads are. She always gets into trouble and makes him fall into trouble along with her while the Official Chrysanthemums pays the price of it lmfao😂. Kunlun is a cutie above, baddie below the surface. Aozi is so cute here, no wonder he was cast for Lei Wujie's role. I was rolling during the scene where Jinxiu carried Kunlun. I get you Kunlun, I get you! It was indeed embarrassing 😭🤣

"snatching the moon? sounds kinda fun" proceeds to become the Demon God and own the purple moon (reference: Moonlight Mystique)😭😭😭😭. COOKIES to this drama for giving the subtle nostalgic rides to me about MM while watching this. Also the scene where he points the arrow -skskksksksksksk i can't stop thinking about Fan Yue helping Bai Shuo by raising the bow so she could point it 🥹🤍

Even in the previous trailer if you noticed it well, the FL transitions from an idiot to a savage after getting betrayed by the ML. Just like the one in The Last Immortal. So no, it's not because the FL was changed but it's because this story was always meant to have this kind of FL. Maybe because the previous actress had a little more mature face so it didn't seem much childish

almost all xianxias have a similar story but they do have difference to some extent. if you are planning on watching something that's different you should watch TTEOTM, MM, FoF, or maybe check out Love In Pavilion. You can also keep an eye for Feud (Lament Of River Immortal)'s release. These have an interesting storyline and are more enjoyable, even if they included the cliches.
Don't expect much from this one. This was filmed some years ago with a storyline which was more famous during it's filming era.

for his first xianxia, i must say ARP has a knack for xianxias and wuxias. Glad he's doing more of this genre recently 🫠

Watched all the 4 epis and gosh! it's good. it's not interesting but it's enjoyable. of course it has a cliche storyline but if anyone likes the older xianxias (like The Last Immortal) they might like this one as well. The acting is so good, the humor isn't forced and the vfx is also okay. I love the costumes and the styling isn't that bad. It has a lot of potential. I hope they don't make the ML a complete asshole and justify his actions in future.
Kunlun is a little suspicious ckt tbvh. I am not sure if he's completely positive or grey. Whatever! ARP is so cuteeeeeeee

I've never seen Hu Yi Xuan. So far her face looks alright (someone confirm if they find any distortion due to AI). SUCH A CUTIE SHE IS. Also, my babieee Aozi doesn't look THATTTT bad. He's looking better than what i expected with that styling (doesn't mean it's good/great. his new dramas have better styling which makes him look more handsome). LXY in this drama reminds me of Wuxin. Maybe because this was filmed some 3-4 years ago. I couldn't recognize him in his recent drama 'Kill Me Love Me'

The novel has tragedy as a tag. Dunno if it's really tragic

Into epi 2 and Minghao's cameo is already over. I'm not sure if they got that huge af cast of cameos just for their beautiful faces or they actually make any sense. I would've preferred a smaller cast of cameos with an ample of screen space to showcase their back story. No, I don't mean to dedicate the whole drama to the cameos but if anyone has watched Fangs Of Fortune, The Blood Of Youth (this one's case is a little different tho) or Moonlight Mystique would understand what I mean. I hope the other cameos have got a better story to serve.

Neo Hou's pairing with that actress (idk her name) was cute. I was curious to know why she didn't agree to get married to him first but we'll never get to know about it, would we?! The character arc seemed a little off. He was introduced as a ruthless demon who would seek revenge by killing left and right but suddenly after a talk with the leads, he was like "yeah ok dude, take my core. I'm done with this shit. Bye bye" 😭. The only thing that lasted was "I don't regret the killings" as a conclusion to his ruthless character. Also the scene where they destroy his thousand eye trap was so short — looks like he was never as strong as the legends had. His uncle was more powerful than him. Maybe I'm overanalyzing it but this could've been executed a little better imo (or maybe he was always destined to be like this and I got my expectations high after seeing the hi-fi cold demeanor in the beginning scene) :"))

I genuinely love the vfx/cgi. The leads look nice but there hasn't been much talk about the leads yet.

Honestly, I've got no expectations from this. I don't really like the ML (I loved him in TBOY with the bald styling. Looks more handsome to me that way lol), I'm not sure how AI is going to help in saving the FL's expressions (hope it doesn't look creepy and robotic) and Aozi's styling is already giving me a headache + he isn't the lead so again he'll be a typecast in this drama who does the most silly things🤦🏻‍♀️😭.

The only reason to watch this drama are : Aozi (without any doubt lmao) and the classic xianxia plot. I like this kind of cliche xianxia plots a lot and I hope this drama doesn't seem a complete waste of time to me. I'll be very glad if they manage to surprise me 😊

Are you talking about the one with Monk Xuanzang, Boloye and Luluo? I'm currently on chap 5 and I thought I was reading the wrong book because even the synopsis seems very different from the book's. Maybe they've changed Xuanzang's identity to Chen Yi (because the name actually refers to the real life personality) but not sure about the story. If they stick to the story and Chen Yi is inspired from Xuanzang, then maybe they won't end up together. Even in the drama's synopsis it says that Chen Yi quietly leaves (and basically never returns).

Personally, I prefer Luwa and Bian Chang's pairing. They look cute from the reuters already. Maybe he's playing her fiancee but whatever! I personally find them more suitable than ARP - Luwa's pairing
