This one kept me engrossed though there are drawbacks. Depicting Two time periods are at times distracting especially when the scenes are too short. The last 3 episodes are a let down. Part of episode 21 is unnecessary as we already know what transpired, acting out the whole subplot just drags the story. Last 2 episodes on the revelation of the killer is anticlimactic as it’s too convenient, the reasons for the killings stereotype. Great acting all round except for that actress playing Lu An Ning who looks more silly than innocent. Especially love the police camaraderie.

Still enjoy this even if the novelty is gone. As much as some fans want the ML and FL to have romantic relationship, I prefer them to be just best pals which is a positive aspect of the series. A bit over the top in some scenes and I do not favour the cameo appearances of these supposedly popular Korean actors/actresses as it serves no purpose but merely distracting. Looking forward to season 3.

Prefer Sandra’s and Keanu’s version especially the end part, where Sandra’s acting just transcend

If not for CSW, I would not have finished this. The pacing is horribly slow, a lot of irrelevant scenes dragging the pace further. Nothing outstanding in the plot, the legal cases unremarkable. Only thing going for this is CSW’s acting and the bromance. The FL character is annoying and I found myself fast forwarding her scenes.

Lost interest once I knew the direction of the plot midway eventhough I did finish. If you are a crime drama enthusiast there is nothing new here. Pretty predictable from midway. The female leads acting were quite bland as were their characters. Weak compared to Danger Zone and Victim’s Game for crime dramas from Taiwan

I love Wuxia focusing on brotherhood and friendship.. So this one certainly meet my expectations. Love the chemistry among the guys. Glad that romance is kept to the minimal. A bit overwhelming initially with so many characters but plot was never confusing. One complaint is Xiao Se’s voice. I find this voice actor’s mostly murmurings irritating. The last episode is sort of rushed as if YOUKU ran out of budget, 😂 Nowadays I tend to fast forward a lot or abandon altogether whenever I watch a wuxia or Xianxia as they are mostly filed with mundane chick flick romances. Not this one which I subscribed to YOUKU just to finish it. Heard of a prequel , which I have no interest as I can already foresee will be focusing on heroes pining over one woman resulting in these love sick men’s destruction,

This drama kept me engaged until episode 20 when the plot started to falter. Episode 22 was ridiculously dragging its feet as nothing much happened. As others have commented it did not make sense that the villain would come up with such a ridiculously complicated plot to get ZWJ to reveal the secret, a plot which dragged across so many episodes. The identity of the villain was too obvious and how could ZWJ be so laughable dumb. Actor portraying ZWJ really need to improve on his acting. As for Zhang Yi, he was better here than in The Knock out, the guy seems to only take on detective roles, not that I am complaining, 😆. A solid 8 rating from me. Hope there is a season 2 and a more polished Karry Wang by then

Splendid acting by the two male protagonists, such a pleasure to watch. Jin Dong was born to play this role while Cheng Yi was so natural in his portrayal. Great insight into the court and legal system of China with marvellous details. However the drama does falter towards the last quarter. First 30 episodes were great but the two major cases in the last 10 episodes were too dramatic and overboard, all the tears and laments between daughters and mothers cringeworthy dragging the plot. Still highly recommended

Watched it as recommended by AvenueX. Did not disappoint as the plot kept me engrossed. Great acting too. Only downside were the repetitive scenes as the director loved to show a future scene then returned to the past or present and connect the dots to that future scene, which dragged the plot and could be irritating at times, but never confusing. Highly recommended if you are into crimes

His acting has barely improved through the years , ultimately just a pretty face

Also another ?? kdramas, cdramas, Hollywood (Netflix especially) and even Bollywood are saturated with women power and female centric series nowadays

Beginning two third of this crime drama was fascinatingly engrossing and so well plotted but the last one third was frustratingly watered down with all the cringeworthy slogans which I have to presume suffered from China famous censorship. Love the characters portrayed by Zhang song wen and Gao Ye, which were brilliantly acted. Such a great pity that I can’t rate this more than 7.5.
