I don't think Mu Deok was blind. She might have chosen to appear blind because of the things she could see. She might have covered her eyes to avoid something she saw with those eyes.
I mean, Nokdu saw broken stones inside the box. I think this ability is from MD's eyes. That also can explain why the blue mark is inside MD's eyes. Those eyes must be her source of energy, just like UK'S hand

Naksu's father wasn't killed because of the things he knew. He knew something about the future of his daughter and his family and wanted to kill them. He killed many and his actions led to his demise
