Same! It looks like the exile still hasn’t happened (or maybe about to happen) by ep 50, which only leaves 7 episodes for all the stuff that will come after, like the YS engagement, empress’s death, and reconciliation on top of the LJT and Lou Ben’s wife’s plots.

He wasn't descending into madness, he was consumed by revenge, and his aunt's death pushed him over the edge. From the recent episodes, I think it was clear he never planned to abandon CSS but the events leading up to his massacre all gradually nudged him in a direction he couldn't come back from.
Putting aside LBY, YS is super annoying and treats CSS like a middle school crush where his method of flirting is being condescending and mean. He also felt like CSS was too "uneducated" for someone like him even though he really liked her.
I'm not worried since I know from that LBY will redeem himself even though CSS does not forgive him easily. YS also realizes in the end that while he loves CSS, it does not compare to LBY's love for her and at the end of the day, LBY is the only man CSS has ever truly loved.

I agree. I believe Dilraba's character Changge in TLB was supposed to be around 14-15 as well but she wasn't able to convey the childish innocence that ZLS is able to do. I love Dilraba but I definitely think she's more suited to play more mature characters.
