Her eyebrows definitely looks so much better in LLTG, but I think overall her styling was better in WRTW (though maybe it's too mature for her role here). I think the hairstyle (the hair over the ears) in LLTG makes everyone look a bit frumpier (there are lots of stunning women in this drama, but I think all of them could look better).

She's a classic old-fashioned Chinese grandma who worships the sons in the family and hates the daughters (重男轻女).

That's why I loved the female friendship in WRTW. Even though Feng Qiwu was initially also interested in the ML, after meeting the FL, she realized how compatible they were and just became super supportive of both of them.

I wonder why they decided to end Part 1 at ep 27. I thought at least CSS would have fully fallen in love with LBY by the end of Part 1, but that definitely doesn’t appear to be the case by the previews.

The bounce-back each time killed me. It was supposed to be kind of serious but I couldn't help but laugh.

I would argue that The Long Ballad was the breakout for both WL and ZLS, funnily enough, which led them to the opportunity to star together in such a high end S+ production

I know most likely Part 2 will air immediately after Part 1, but I just want them to confirm it so I can feel at peace lol

It's not like Joy of Life where Part 2 is yet to be filmed. Part 2 for LLTG is already filmed (and approved for distribution), so it's most likely going to air a few days after Part 1 ends, if not immediately after.

It should be immediately after but since it's a cdrama they probably won't announce until 2 days before lol. The Blue Whisper announced its Part 2 airdate 2-3 days before.

Chemistry is a bit subjective, but I actually thought he had great chemistry with Dilraba (even though they barely had any intimate scenes). Perhaps it's because I also watched their press interviews from the promotional period and they definitely had amazing chemistry during those. That's why I would love to see them together again in a modern romance drama.

I take her reviews with a HUGE grain of salt, especially after how she raved about ADOS even after watching the entire series. Yes the first half was very good, but the second half was a hot mess with the ML barely in it yet she still gave it a high overall rating. Now she's complaining that WL hasn't been in that much of LLTG so far (when it's only 1/3 of the way through and the book was always written that way). She can't even see her own biases.

I literally just watched it. She is so biased so I didn't expect her to say anything nice about this one - she also didn't like The Long Ballad or Who Rules the World (and that was before WRTW had its major flaws in the second half). I feel like she really doesn't like younger actors and basically thinks none of them can act if they are also good-looking. She was completely obsessed with ADOS and I'm sorry, while I love LYF and she literally looks like a fairy, but her acting is mid-range at best and she's been in the industry for 20+ years.
