CXX's Love on Torquoise Island started today.

Oh, I'm watching CXX's new drama "Love on Torquoise Island" right now.

Here his character doesn't even have a flag. At least not yet.

Yes. The CXX drama released today that I'm watching right now suggests that they know what they're doing.

Yes. It has typically Chinese characteristics.

In neither drama is he who he seems to be on the surface. Initially. That's what makes his (portrayal of) characters so interesting to see develop.

And CXX really does have that "IT" factor. What you call "magnetism." Love him or hate him, but you can't take your eyes off him.

I won't spoil it for you and reveal the true color of his flag. Just see the first couple of episodes & decide for yourself.

How can your country be a founding member of BRICS and still ban Chinese apps?

If you think this is a C-drama version of a K-drama version of Hollywood, this isn't it. Nor will you ever see such a thing. The Chinese will never compromise their cultural integrity for the sake of popular entertainment.

In Fall in Love, he was a "red flag"(or at least started out as one). His entrance in episode 2 alone was worth the time investment.

Do you consider Fall in Love (Republican Era) historical or modern?

It's not "ancient" China, but the setting did occur a century or so ago.

Because CXX was a child actor, his family has always represented him. He's likely comfortable with the situation. Not to mention, how do you say no to family?

And they did help him land the lead in GMP when he was only 22.

CXX is 100% Chinese. Keep in mind China is a very big & diverse country with over a billion Han Chinese alone.

In the Republican Era drama "Fall in Love," he looked so classically Chinese that he could've stepped right out of an old Shanghai movie from the 1930s.
