How Good is LYX acting:You can take pict of any of his scenes, there is no bad acting he uses every single camera…
Kudos to LYX. I have been a fan of his since Run Yu and I couldn't agree more. His eyes says it all. I fully believe he could make a whole drama without speaking a word, he's that good. I'm glad he's getting the recognition he deserves!
Its a well deviced plan. Ji Ze told the hint in today's episode. They anticipated TTJ, and Ming Ye made sure they…
exactly right. If you rewatch the first few episodes you can see small clues coming up....and especially PYZ's role. It was also important that TTJ fall in love with LSS because that is one of the biggest parts of their plan!
Unpopular Opinion: I don't like how much they made TTJ suffered in ep. 27. YXW should be suffering more because…
I think it's because of the whole causal effect or the karmic cycle. It began 10,000 years prior and unfortunately Li SuSu and TTJ have to be the ones to pay the price. Honestly MY's plan would have worked had LSS's father DiMian not intervened. Also, the fact that her mother Chu Huang gave him that phoenix feather that allowed him to find her is also a cause. DiMian wanted power and Chu Huang's mistake led to the beginning of the whole catastrophe. In turn, the original devil god tried to demonize MY which in turn led to his near death and the fall of the gods, which also led to the devil god's death, but unfortunately that caused TTJ to have to bear all the suffering. It's a constant cycle of cause and effect. This is why Ji Ze tells LSS that their marriage was predestined and always doomed. The nails are necessary because it is needed to crack the barrier around the evil bone otherwise it would not be able to be removed. But before she could drive in the last 3 nails MY prevented it from killing him. The purpose was so that LSS could give her life to remove that bone and give him an immortal spirit. That was always the plan. In the immortal arc, it will all tie together so that they can end this karmic cycle for good.
Women can never win in the world of dramas. If they abandon their task and become soft and lovey-dovey. They will…
I feel the same. YXW's first experience with TTJ is him as an evil devil who literally made a game out of killing people. She grew up watching him slaughter all sects including here whole sect and family. Then she's thrown in the past and has to live with him and try to understand him. If anything....I feel that would be traumatizing enough, but she still tries to understand his life and does everything she can to be sure that he will not destroy the world in the future. We know TTJ is a flawed character but so is she. She has never had romantic love and she is conflicted, but she is doing what she has to do. Let's not forget how extreme he is. Even though she tried to help XL escape he still overrode her will and forced her to kill him. I would feel violated by that. It's really not so far fetched in her mind to believe that he would retaliate by killing her grandmother. She still remembers him as the devil god who freaking loved killing people. And although the wedding scene was heartbreaking for TTJ, it was just as bad for her. Regardless of his actions you could see she still loves him but knows she has to kill him. And when she failed, the realization and helplessness she felt was probably the worst feeling of all. They are both hurting but just in different ways. I do not blame YXW for her actions. They are governed by her own experiences with him and she did what she believed was the right thing. I believe for her, his one death would be worth the millions of future lives saved.
I feel like this drama is one that is really breaking the mold and giving a platform to more realistic characters.…
I'm so glad you said that. I agree. When we are angry enough we will say the most hurtful things to the people we love the most. When we hurt, we want them to hurt in that small moment of anger. That's why i love the characters. They are both flawed and it makes watching their growth throughout the drama worth watching their horrible acts against each other.
To be fair, they’ve already made pretty big changes compared to the original (first : TTJ is really in love…
I don't think that TTJ loved YBC in the novel. He only wanted to have her because she belonged to XL and he wanted everything XL had. Even when she was his concubine he couldn't even be sexually excited by her.
I've been thinking a lot about this, we all know that Yxw will give her divine essence to Ttj. Does that mean…
She technically already existed as LSS during YXW's lifetime. YXW is a reincarnation of a sliver of LSS's soul so even after her death, LSS will return to her current time and still be immortal. She'll just be more complete since she recovers that part of her soul.
These two episodes are so intense but it perfectly summed up this drama for me.Damn, this couple is so toxic that…
1. I agree with the whole toxic love/hate. It's so palpable and delicious that I think they do it right in this drama. As for Bore life when the dragon first woke up and saw TTJ he recognized his face as the vessel for the devil god so he made a bet to see if he lived MY's life, if he would learn to love the people and the world. That was the true purpose...but it was also a warning and a lesson and like you said, a basic replay of what would happen to YXW and TTJ. Obviously they didn't learn from it which is unfortunate. 2. I agree in the drama it didn't make sense for her to care so much for XL and the only thing I can think of to explain is that she sees him as GYJW who she is very close to. In fact it is him when he was a mortal. In the novel, she needed him to stay alive so that he would become immortal in the future. He was to undergo a great mortal trial but she didn't know what it was. Unfortunately the drama failed to show that. 3. That wedding scene was both beautiful and incredibly sad. I agree that you could see her love and anguish right before she hit him with the nails. And TTJ's shock and heartbreak...my god....I could hardly stand to see it. Her words to him were even worse but I think it was said out of anger and hurt at what she thought he did. Although it doesn't justify her actions, I understand that as humans we say things we don't mean because we want to hurt other people when we are hurting.
And the look on her face when she realized what YBC had done....ohhh man.....that was awful. I agree they whitewashed him. Even before the wedding he did terrible things and they were not excusable. He was just as horrible in the novel and YXW was justified in what she did. And now when I rewatch the episode and see him sewing all his love in her veil....that kills me.
