Honestly I was thinking the same thing. I'm so tired of watching drama after drama of the ML just suffering for the FL for no reason. Like the ML always goes through so much worse. I am just craving dramas where they both are evenly suffering or the FL is the one suffering more. I was hoping that in this one the FL would be the one to actually go through more suffering or the ML was actually a scumbag and deserved it but obviously the way this is going I can tell its probably not. And nowadays when the ML does suffer so much worse, it's always a misunderstanding so everything was pointless and done for no reason! I'm so done with this trope! Like get an actual evil ML who gets put through the ringer rightfully so or just change it up and let the FL suffer unjustly for once. It's just getting so boring and predictable. Why is it always the ML sacrificing for the FL, I wanna see the reverse as well. Also, can like actual betrayal and morally gray characters come back? I'm so tired of misunderstandings, ML simps, and just green flag characters everywhere. I want some non-villain morally gray main characters. I'm just kind of tired of it. It feels like all the new xianxias coming out are all like this and though I love seeing the characters suffer regardless I kind of wanted it to change up and be different for once. Maybe I'm just annoyed because everything I have been recently watching has been like this. Maybe there are a lot of dramas like this and I'm just not aware but if so, pls recommend me some!

I honestly prefer sad endings over open endings. I actually was really content with this ending because I felt it served a purpose and actually didn't leave us wondering what happened. It tied up the story well in my opinion, and though it did leave me feeling empty and sad, it felt good in a way nonetheless. It's also a bit of a happy ending because it leaves us with a tinge of hope for the future.

So I know the route this drama is gonna take and what is most probably gonna happen in the end, and due to that, I am gonna need Sword and Beloved to come out right after to sate me and for me to not go insane. Does anyone have any idea or inkling of when it's prob gonna come out? I was thinking August or September this year, but I'm not sure. I need to see more of this story and world!

I agree! when i saw some of his stills before the drama came out i was honestly shocked because he looked so good. Especially in the white hair costume, he looked so fantastical and ethereal to me i thought he fit fantasy dramas perfectly. I guess people have their own preferences tho.

no fr i was so confused when people were saying he was unattractive or the ugliest in the cast because I felt he was the most attractive. I love his costume and the way they designed him, he looks so good, easily my fav eye candy of the series. Maybe it's because I prefer more masculine men, but I am also super excited for him with white hair because he looks simply ethereal.

Is this actually real dialogue from the anime, donghua, or drama? Or did you write this yourself? Either way, this is super sad!
