This show is garbage and only popular because of ML
Yes, even I feel it got hyped because ML took a role which was very different from his previous ones. There were sparks of brilliance but it was quickly engulfed by multiple mediocre to bad aspects. Disappointing for sure, given the expectations!
Ep 9 - What a beautiful way to showcase connections, of past, present and future all intertwined with the Laws of Fate! One of the most profoundly poignant episodes so far, yet it sparks hope. Beautifully done!
Makes you wonder if these things will really exist when it is our own time? Are our own connections in this world and interwoven series of people we have come across in past and will in future?
Love shows that make you a little philosophical and wondering as scenes unfold while navigating life, death and what could be beyond it all 💖
No I still don't get the kind of ending it has (I am slow, maybe T_T)But since I have seen your comment now -…
Don't know the details - oh you did not finish it. Ok. But sad ending? Oh noooooo! I think I will not sacrifice my sleep then and not binge like crazy.
Now that I know what kind of ending it has, I'm able to take my time watching it instead of trying to get through…
No I still don't get the kind of ending it has (I am slow, maybe T_T) But since I have seen your comment now - what does it mean? Is it not a happy ending? Do they all die? Please tell me there is at least a closure from all angles?
I am currently on Ep 2 - and am thinking of staying awake to finish all 11 eps in one go. But it is honestly a bit slow pace, and your comment has made me wonder if it is worth the binge? Please tell me - I am rambling here 😅😅😅
Just about to complete Ep 2 - and I have some guesses, simply to see later how off or on the mark I was. Am I…
[1] The Villain: Why do I feel the antagonist will be the Grand Prince (Kim Jae Wook)? The painter = mastermind behind child abductor. Reason: He is a psycho/child abuser? Or it is the uncle he was referring to who he wanted to gift the painting
[2] ML is an impostor: --> Lee Jae Wook (ML) is clearly an impostor - given he will have a romance arc with the FL, so she cannot be his half-sister, that would be ewww. This is no Korean GoT. --> He possibly has been brought back to pretend by the Mother's right-hand-man. The latter probably loves the Mother/Mistress of the House and could not bear to see her in such a state? Or could he have been brought to pretend by the High Priestess, cause she too wants to catch the "Snow Man" + "Painter"?
[3] The SML will be unalive by the time the series ends. As is the fate of SMLs in many historical romances, he will sacrifice himself to save the FL. I hope not but high chances. -
Just about to complete Ep 2 - and I have some guesses, simply to see later how off or on the mark I was. Am I right? Or did the show-makers fool me?
While this is a personal note/comment but anyone else wants to brainstorm with me, welcome to the comment under spoiler tag. I might keep adding more to it.
alright lets start the romance! its giving hyeon jung liked her in ep 1. and also I wanna see some character dev…
I have a feeling too that Hyeon Jung probably liked her as well, at first sight - given all the epilogues we have seen so far where he is hiding himself. But we could totally be wrong - and he is just THAT passionate about fitness, that he was just looking out for his potential client-turned-best-pupil.
Mi-Ran, I agree: so far she did push back Miss-Mrs Lip Filler (I love this nickname) but we need more fighting from our girl - I want her to mentally and emotionally also overcome her issues, just like she is done it on the physical front. And maybe that is the end goal of this show - but yes, I too hope it is not shown in the last episode. It is already a short drama so that would be super abrupt - I hope it comes forth gradually in this entire 2nd half.
Given that we are seeing some good character background stories - like last Episode with the Ahjumma, I am guessing we will see Mi-Ran do it too, as well as see the backstory of Hyeon Jung (something that Roy said in the first meeting bothers me) and ofc where is his coach - the original gym owner?
With 6 episodes left to go, I hope the drama writers do justice to all angles and not rush it.
The series is based on novel and the 11 eps has complete story. I don’t think there will be any more seasons.
Ah thank you for answering. I ended up starting it - on Ep 1, and its really intriguing and the cinematography is top notch.
Glad to know that 11 episodes is complete - would love to know how it ends, and not wait eons for multiple sequels (T_T) as with some other Netflix shows.
Given this is on Netflix, want to be sure that the 11 Eps are complete and there will be no sequals? The plot is really intriguing so I'd like to have all the answers in one-go as I sit down to binge-watch it.
EDIT: Thanks @enigmah & @aishwarya nazre - in comments for clarifying that this is complete and 1 season only with 11 eps. I am sure it will help others too. Binging it now! 🙏🏼
The story summary and teaser look amazing. And am so excited to see LMH ❤️✨ Added with the other starcast - so far, it spells magic and is making my expectation rise.
Can't wait for it to start and hoping that it delivers across all the parameters that makes a great drama!
What the Pyuntae! What the Pervert! I love how this phrase is on everyone's lips - us and every character in the show 😂😂😂
Also, What the Emotions - was this Ep 6 🥹
This drama started as a carefree, hilarious adventure, but with each character, it's peeling back layers that add real depth to the story. I love when a show can balance humor with meaningful storytelling, and this one is doing it beautifully—keeping things light while weaving in powerful messages. It’s the perfect mix of fun and thought-provoking moments!
What the Story! ❤️ What the Acting! ❤️ I hope more and more people start watching the show, and honestly the ratings must be raised! This drama till now is clearly at least 8/10 and I can foresee that it will end higher, for sure!
What the jjajangmyeon! I love LJY’s gummy smile and his role in this drama, he’s so funny being a hard guy…
Oh absolutely - as someone who's personally struggling with health/fitness issues while balancing life's demands I can totally relate with the FL. Just need to build the mindset and get a trainer like LJY! Hahaha, but yes the message is amazing - one, that our bodies reflect everything we are going through, and we need to remember to be kind to it - not under any kind of external pressure but to do it for ourself.
And yes, LJY - omo! that man is so damn talented - i love him in his deranged psycho roles, i love him in his puppy love roles and now I love him in his psycho trainer but cute puppy role - what can this man not do!! His funny muscle poses ( and am assuming they have used shoulder pads for him like in rugby) and the funny way of speaking english is super hilarious!
We will reach the half-way mark for this drama with Ep 6 airing soon, can't wait to see what happens in the second half and finale.
And most importantly - what other new words can be attached to our now favorite catchphrase - WHAT THE ....
Ep 5 - Baby repeating "Shall We Get Started" and Jun Young's smile - OMO OMO OMO! It is like Love and Leashes character all over again, this man makes me go crazy for him no matter the role.
Firstly - love the DP, Wolf <3 Lee Jun Young! Second - Regarding the Ratings, it could be cause of: [1] This drama's theme - comedy that is unhinged/unserious might not be for everyone. It might seem bizarre to some, but some will love it and slap the table laughing at it (like me) [2] Not many people have watched it, or are updating the ratings. OR maybe someone dropped it with initial episodes. [3] Not sure but the low viewership could also be cause it is a Weekday airing (Wed/Thu) and not Weekend airing drama?
I know when you love a show, or can see potential in it, and it has low ratings, it feels unjustified. But we cannot do anything about it - and should understand, as everyone has their right to express.
So for the time being - those who are watching the show and love it, can simply share the honest views about it and spead the word. Maybe that will help more people watch and like it, and others who tried will reattempt to watch.
My Recommendations (Till Ep 5) - WHAT THE AMAZING DRAMA it is! If you are not looking for anything serious but just want to enjoy over-the-top kind of comedy that will definitely make you smile or snicker (the good way) then do give it a try.
P.S. I have seen many dramas have a better rating in latter half or on completion. I can't remember it well but I think both Trauma Code and Study Group also had mixed reviews but in the end the rating is quite high. On the other hand I know there are gems in J-Dramas that should be a 8-9+ but are always getting stuck at 7.5-7.8 scores. So in the end it is all about giving it a try yourself and finding the gems!
this drama is so unhinged and funny - and Lee jun Young's dialogues in English and the What the series are the main reason I am watching this drama!
What the FAT! What the CHOJANG! Call me 911, Please! What the SOJUUUUU!!!
I just can't - this man in too much, my jaws are hurting - in a good way! Also what the BODYSUIT is he wearing! And what the ZUMBA did he do!!!
This drama was much needed in my otherwise bleak week! Love for Jun Young, just grows and grows - that gummy smile that can either be cute or creepy depending on the context. This guy is such a powerhouse of talent!
Also the FL - this is my second time watching her, and I love her. Both her roles have been very bubbly (I saw her in Miss Day and Night) and she reminds me of Jin Ki Joo at times. I will definitely see more of her work for sure.
And yes, can't wait for the drama to tune up the romance - these two will be a riot! XD WHAT THE FUNNY DRAMA!
Makes you wonder if these things will really exist when it is our own time? Are our own connections in this world and interwoven series of people we have come across in past and will in future?

The gym you live in
It should've been my gym
The treadmill you're in
I should've been on it
The sweat you are sweating
It should have all been MINE
The gym you live in
It should've been my gym
The treadmill you're in
I should've been on it
The sweat you are sweating
Even the supplement you took
It should have all been MINE
It should have all been MINE
It should have all been MINE
(Ofc, the English translations don't do full justice to the actual vibes/feelings - I hope they officially release this song soon!)
