This drama i s going to be confusing since all the main characters have three names!!!
sometimes it's difficult to watch fantasy dramas especially for people like me who have trouble remembering people's names & faces even forget names of ML or FL characters that i watched the story a few hours ago.
and some say she can't out of chen qianqian's character and her dramas fail even with alist actor also no one wants to eat her cp. like have you actually seen the drama and in reality or just based on rumors that are not clear about its origins?? literally cant understand.
i'm really upset & sadly many people agree with it. if it reaches the eyes of haters everything can be wrong and only want to believe if its bad, don't understand how people can be that lonely.
In novel they didn't met each other before lantern festival, but in drama look like before festival he was interested…
it's even worse, i know he fell in love because of what she did but thinking he fell in love after seeing her hands is already weird but he looks at it on top of the building it's even weirder, does her face really look? i mean, are eyes without modern light mix really that good?? i don't understand her a lil bit, she wants to marry Luo Yao but doesn't want to study literature even though Yuan Shuanjia is annoying but she clearly knows that his knowledge is higher than her. doesn't need CSS to be good, just trying to be a lil bit better just listening to the class but she really doesn't seem to have that intention.
but somehow i feel Yuan Shuanjia's interest isn't that far, he said it's because CSS is the only girl who rejected him and he's like even if you accept me you don't deserve me. it was clearly seen between what Ling Buyi said to the princess and what YS said to his maid. usually this type of ML will only realize when he really falls too far sadly he is not ML LOL enemyto lover-slowburn-tsundere love is not suit with our Shaoshang.

tbh sometimes i get annoyed about how Shaoshang underestimates books in front of a scholar the same way she gets ridiculed for liking assembling things.

i don't think Yuan Shen actually pursued Shaoshang with that intention to marry her like he wanted to be close and interact with her more but just it so he never think abt shaohang's pov based on what Yuan Shen said that only one who could decide they would meet or not is him. he even said he didn't want to get married even if he met a girl that caught his eye afther met Shaoshang. they're like an enemy to lover trope in another drama.
it could be seen clearly between how Ling Buyi and Luo Yao treated Shaoshang. He maybe interested but not until he wants Shaoshang to like him back.
i was really touched when Ling Buyi requested the emperor's decree for Shaoshang so she could stand in Luo family & help tell to the emperor about Luo Yao's brother so that the second family has a foothold. Ling Buyi again shows the difference between dating man & boy.
he is crazy about Shaoshang but can let her go if Shaoshang feels that being with other people is better than with him, of course not after Shaoshang chose him.

i agree with u, some cdramas sometimes keep adding “coincidence” as fate which sometimes doesn't make sense also annoys and irritates me in the end.
too much drama i dropped on the first episode because it LOL thankfully LLTG only did it in the first episode and did so well in their relationship development after that i fell in love with the tempo.
Regarding the love token (arrow, string and handkerchief), I think it kinda suspicious that CSS could find it…
i agree with u, at the first place i felt Ling Buyi purposely showed it to her to let her know he was attracted to her because his eyes felt a lil bit wrong when he asked shaoshang to stay in his carriage (though that made sense) also the cupboard was open so Shaoshang could easily see it impossible to ignore not the kind above table or she accidentally opened the cupboard.

the first drama is stunned by Miss Zhao's charisma, second drama is about how Zisheng's struggle shakes heart of Fourth Lady Cheng LOL
