I'm sure if her mother had told her a little ahead of time she would have had more of an idea and know the whole situation.

i agree with your opinion but in shaoshang point of view there are only married to LY or never married. she never thought that she had the luck to like&ove someone. she really has low self-esteem, can't you see form her point of view? She doesn't have the view of a normal girl who grew up with love, she endured hard since she was born. even the slightest kindness will be appreciated she is not in a place to choose someone who is not sure what is the guarantee if someone treats her better than LY one day? she knew how hard it is to find someone who is kind to her, so she tried to appreciate it instead of guessing what Ling Buyi meant.

and not to be married for life wouldn't be a good choice, at least with someone she could choose better than getting a random engagement from her family.

she also said that she had bad luck, she was afraid that if not Luo Yao no one would want to be with her and also Luo Yao was nice to her from Shaoshang pov it was worth to try.

most chinese dramas with long episodes indicate it's good because short episodes are usually low budget

when he said "Don't be afraid, I'm here." i looked into Cheng Shaoshang's eyes and she seemed confused as to why the fear she saw in his eyes was greater than she felt. back then i thought shaoshang might have guessed a bit but she has low self esteem guessed and hoped not for hee so even though everything Ling Buyi did was special i don't think he really showed his intentions towards Shaoshang so she didnt dare to think about it either because of what she said to her aunt, she had bad luck and didn't want to miss someone she was destined for so when Luo Yao was so clear she wanted to at least hold onto him. for a girl like shaoshang that was definitely better than conjecture. this is just my opinion.

how she asked why no one asked her made me hope she will realized that her way of educating Niaoniao was wrong. Niaoniao doesn't even feel that her opinion matters, she doesn't have extra energy to expect or hate her.

i'm used to watching kdramas and was surprised to see Chinese productions i mean they have a good set but the way they bring the show is really less like i know it can be more and better. thank you so much to the director & scripwritter LLTG for showing what i care about most so far which is the way of take pics and the vibe between the leads like even just them walking side by side will make you flutter instead of kissing with all they might but that's it.. like no butterflies.

also i'm happy even though the tempo is slow but it's really good because some cdrama is like dragging the story to get more episodes, what they show is really what they need to exist there is no waste.

i hope they stay in the right way until the end and a lot of new & unique things. and yeah this is a revolution from costume cdrama in my opinion. hope LLTG director can make more costume dramas. 😭🙏
