I don't know much about prison cells in the Philippines, but most of what I've seen were either too crowded or just crazy tight, so I wonder how will they change the screenplay. Hmm, I'm curious how it will turn out.
She's a lovely young lady who showed everyone her potential as a serious actress. You may prefer a 10/10 beauty model-actress, but for us who like her, including the film community, she's beyond that standard. No great looking actress can compare with someone who can be the character that a director imagined, and Hyang Gi was that someone, the right person for the lead role.
Just how did his frind end up diying??He left school and started working no?How come the bed guys killed him but…
My assumption, Jung Hoo ran as far away as possible, so he won't be used to lure Jun Woo again. My guess is the suspects found him but refused to cooperate which led to his death. Guilt could be the reason why they went to his funeral. As for why the suspects where not in cuffs? The police may not have any solid evidence to link the suspects.
Also, anyone else who is really loving the direction? it stood out to me from the first shot of ep 1
The start of the drama takes us into the life of becoming a young adult. Life isn't just about boys or falling in love anymore. This is the stage of knowing yourself better and learning to fight your own fight. This is the life that will take you to your next beginning.
This ain't nothing like the eye-candy swoon over your stan kind of drama. It started with a good foundation which can stir those who struggle and wonder about their future. You're not young anymore but not old enough to know what's the best answer to your problem.
The high rating was attributed to the fact that it's a story focused on three strong female characters who are…
Dude, KBS and TVN are two different network with different amount of audience. KBS is free to air while TVN is only available on cable. A percentage of 4 is good, but the best would go up to 10 or 20%
Maybe IU and YJG are major stars in Korea- but then Scarlet Heart and Absolute Boyfriend had relatively poor ratings…
Jun Ki was the only cast that was praised by the critics. All that closed up gave away IU's raw skills, but she worked hard after that. Two years later she won our hearts in My Ajhussi. :)
I also love her character. Hope it will be explained why she doesn't want marriage so badly (even in a situation…
There are couples out there who chose to cohabitate for the rest of their life. Some even had kids but are still together. Maybe, Tami share's the same outlook as those couples.
I don't understand Ta Mi. I don't know why she's so set against marriage. Was it ever explained? She have too…
Women like Tami have different reasons for not getting married. Their success and education changed their priorities and perspective in life. Its a fact that's becoming prevalent in many first world countries. Age is another good reason, which I think is Tami's biggest insecurity. Tami is in her late 30s, and although she likes Mogun, she also knows there's a possibility that they may part ways someday since he doesn't share the same view as hers. She might not even want to have kids at all. I think Tami wants security without the need to tie the knot. And for her, Mogun may not be able to keep that.
Bravo! Nokdu Flower is one darn beautifully constructed story. Set from what I initially thought was another superficial period piece, it blew into a profound historical experience. From Donghak to Sino-Japanese war and ended with the appearance of the great Kim Gu.
After all those humbling episodes, his name being mentioned for a mere few seconds was monumental. Flushing all the pain and restoring hope, pride, marking the start of an unforgettable movement. Manse!
"In each lost there is gain." Ta Mi lost Mo Gun, but she gained a full-time job, an assured % for the company's gain and another achievement in her stellar career. Successful women like her will applaud and support her. I still love Ta Mi from start to now. Hers and Mogun's are the most realistic to me. The kind of grown-up relationship you'd encounter in real life. But I'm not happy because the core story lost its tone. It didn't go deep into the issues that were presented, so it ended up turning into "another" love life drama.
I'm not into the whole love team but I appreciate Philippine movies that graced the international scene. Buy Bust and Kita kita was my recent favorite and then I remember Magnifico and Maximo Oliveros. I'm very intrigued by many Philippine indie films too, Liway is one of them. Now, I wonder where I can watch those in pay per view. I saw one trailer this year, the title is "Panti" and I think it's a comedy movie. Hmm....
Bridging from personal stories of two half brothers to the historical Donghak and Sino-Japanese war made this drama far more interesting. If you know Korean history, you'll have an idea where this story is supposed to go. I have four more episodes left, so I am bracing for the inevitable...
