"The three things will end the world" and "the man who killed his father will fight the three heavenly objects" --- which means he might need to kill them, so yes, it's a possibility. *sad

I liked the 6th episode alot more than the last one. It ends the first arc nicely and sets Tagon up as king(?)…
The story is heading towards Tagon becoming the God-King. And thanks to casted-luck, I was able to deduce the three artifacts. And from what Asa Sakan told Moobaek, Tagon will fight the three heavenly objects, which can only mean the three objects are the cursed children.

It was just the 2 of them for 10 years, what did they talk about? She didn't tell him anything about her ppl or…
Maybe because she didn't want Eunsom to be reminded of the past and rather live a happy life in Iark. Asa Hon knew she might die but she didn't expect... she would die too soon.

I still don't quite understand the prophecy, could someone help clarify? Is it something along the lines of two…
Hmmm, you gave me another plausible answer to those three artifacts. The cursed children are the three artifacts, Tanya and the brothers (speculated twins). From my previous guess, they will play a big role in Tagon's ascent to power. They could be the antagonist since they were sent to end the world.

It works when things feel surreal or tense, but you're right they shouldn't overdo it.

We all know Arthdal was unfairly judge even before the drama aired. And many tagged along with the hate. Those who watched it from the get-go and those who decided to give it a chance, later on, can get a little sensitive, so I think it's not also fair to tell them not to say or ask something if they feel that they need to.
Stating opinion is not wrong. Responding to it is not wrong either. It can be a healthy debate as long as the criticism remains constructive or justifiable. If the person demeans and blurts out a personal attack, give them a warning. If you don't want to, don't respond anymore.
Let's keep in mind that we're all here for the stories artistically told through movies and dramas, share our thoughts and hopefully converse even if we may not see eye to eye.

Cheers.

"Amazing" due to cast. Lmao and they just had to copy other shows.
Casting can make or break a film. No matter how good or popular an actor is, if he/she can't convey the state or development of the character, it's not going to be AMAZING.

And if Arthdal copied any show, the drama's rating will continue to fall. This may sound dubious to you but I regretfully inform you that the drama is gaining traction and it took only one episode to break the notion that this drama is not buzzworthy.

Female protagonists with so much fire and power, now this is definitely my style. And I'd like to applaud the use of music, light, and visual play to translate seduction. That was so classy yet intense. Woah! Well done DoP.
I am looking forward to the rivalry between the company, and how will they keep the story interesting without falling into the cheesy romcom.

I don't know how much hate it is getting but looking at the viewership stat, 7-8% is quite high for a cable channel.…
The production crew could have stretched the days to compress work hours, or chose to shoot a huge percentage of scenes in a much suitable location, using a huge amount of props and CGI, but with a $3M budget per episode? That won't do. No one, not even I think that it's pleasant to work long hours in an unfamiliar location, but if the concept requires working in such harsh condition for long hours, film crew and actors need to comprehend the why. Anyone who experienced working in the creative industry knows long work hours is a given. No matter how much they want a shoot to end early, it's not easily attainable. The GOT film crew and actors went through the same thing, working in hot to cold, or wet condition for long hours (in different countries), with less sleep to no sleep... for 8 seasons.
But shooting a drama with this scale for just five months is probably suicide, so it's possible the Arthdal production crew fell short in budget and planning duly ahead which could have resulted to such dissatisfaction. Anyway, I wasn't there, so it could be much worse or just exaggerated. We shall leave the final decision to the judiciary. :)
UPDATE: SD released their statement in regards to working condition.

The hate, on the other hand, was unjustly amassed through overcritical satire blog or memes. *sigh I love GOT too.I've seen S1 to S7, thrice. It's an epic series and Arthdal can't even surpass that. They won't even surpass Kingdom at this point. But I agree, Arthdal is different. Its distinct concept was fairly told from the beginning. The costumes, architecture and tribal dwellings are mostly fictional but references used came from East Asia like Manchuria or from the Chinese Dynasty, while prehistoric tribes from Korea and surrounding Asian tribes. Others say the warrior's costume is similar to the Vikings and soldiers from Roman. Plagiarism? Arguable. Every costume has similarities but details will differentiate it from the other.

About the CGI, I'm not entirely happy with it. It's obvious, the post-production suffered from budget constraint but I'm choosing to overlook and enjoy the story instead. :)

Everything is good, its going on beautifully well but just one mistake that i noticed from the writers is that…
This should have been an easy fix if dialect coaches were present during filming. If it wasn't possible, there's always an alternative solution. This was not an oversight by the script supervisor since they deal with a large amount of work on set.

I understand your sentiment. And even if it's just a small detail, it should not be disregarded. Language is a nation's pride, so it should have been given much value as another. The fact that this is airing on Netflix, anyone who can relate to every language spoken will be utterly disappointed once they realized their ancient language was poorly applied.

Didn't tagon ask the girl servant to give a letter to him at the tower. Isn't he in the tower....
Ah, are you asking if Yang Cha is Eunsom's brother? Or are you asking if Yang Cha is in the tower and not Eunsom's brother?

The comparison to GOT is amplifying the dislike towards Arthdal. It's affecting potential viewers perception, questioning if watching it will be worth their time. But some viewers are changing their minds since it is gaining a positive response.
About the genre, the drama was built around Korean mythology while the rest are purely fictional. Basically, the drama is categorized as fantasy. :)

The woman in question is actually a warrior. Tuak is a part of the Hae Tribe and Alha's sort of right hand. Anyway, she didn't reach the tower (see the scene where she was arrested by Alha's father).
About the two Neanthals, Asa Hon left them. No idea if they are still alive. And about Eunsom's brother, you'll see him with Ragaz. He was in the forest searching for Eunsom's medicine. He left the baby in the bushes when he encountered the Daekan tribe.

Man, this show would be 10/10 if they didn't have the voiceovers and cheesy BGM. but other than that great show.
The voiceover is like a standard in kdrama. It does annoy me from time to time. Especially when I suddenly switch to US series then goes back to kdrama.
I like the BGM though but there are instances it doesn't suit the scene.

Anyone else felt like they rushed Eun Seom's development on episode 4? We didn't see him the whole episode and…
His only goal at the time was to capture and kill San-ung (Tagon's father), so all he did was lurk around and find his opportunity. If they focused on him, then they would have more problems establishing each tribe and character in Arthdal. And too much Tan Ya and Eunsom will just make this into another rom-com drama.
Also, Tagon's character is very significant in Korean mythology, so his character and story need to be established first before intertwining Eunsom and Tan Ya. Both may have a role to play in Tagon's ascend to power or they might be at the opposite end.

Nope. He's Yangcha. He's been around even before Eunsom was born.
I've seen a warrior like that in another drama (I can't remember which), however, I haven't read any information about their origin and why silence is used as a form of punishment. Any Koreans out here who might have an idea?
About Eunsom's brother, yes, he is still hidden in the tower, but I also have no idea how big will his part be in the fall of the Arthdal Union.
