I really can't watch any japanese drama bcz of all the over-acting sorry😭
you need to watch more then, not just adaptations of anime or manga. stop generalizing jdrama off the one or two sh*tty licensed ones because trust me, it's a treasure trove. wowow and nhk dramas are great and dare i say even better than c or kdramas (tho that is a generalization too lol)
sorry to be annoying, but if you're really interested in the more technical side of the drama (i.e. the weather forecasting stuff) and less on the romance, you should check out okaeri mone!! it has more than a hundred eps but each one is only 15 minutes (and less, if you skip the intros and recaps). it shows the beauty of nature in a really unique way using the weather. it also has a cute slow burn romance that doesn't take center stage but is there if you're into that.
edit: to add, the drama has some of the most down-to-earth relationships and interactions between the cast. don't go into this expecting a thrilling ride, but rather a laidback, humane look at human connections and their feelings towards nature, with weather as the vehicle to hammer down the lessons and themes the show wants to show. however, they still do get into the specifics and scientifics of weather forecasting if you're really interested in that.
I must say I have really enjoyed the first episode. Since the finish of Jirisan, I wanted to watch something connected…
okaeri mone is really good too and really gets into the nitty gritty of the world of weather forecasting and how it affects the fishery and forestry industries
