Good call, but you might regret it. On the other hand, save yourself tons of tears and angst, like many of us…
Yeah, when I first read the comments on Viki and saw the 9.5 review, I decided to give it a try but I had actually read on Wiki that the novel had a bad ending. And honestly I do think it's a little crazy that people want the two leads to end up together after he killed her family/tribe (correct me if I'm wrong) :(
OMG OMG OMG! On the Chinese Wikipedia page for this drama, it says that it’s coming out on March 20th, but idk…
I just translated it and it says "The series is tentatively scheduled to be exclusively broadcast on Tencent Video in the fourth quarter of 2019." which I'm guessing is December like I've heard.
It's so funny how people will give a bad rating to something they haven't even given a chance...aka people on Dramafever. I have about 30 mins left of the movie but all I can say is that I enjoyed it.
As if she will tell her real feelings and thoughts
Well if we're talking about money and fame as a reason for her possibly lying, then that sounds like a personal problem. I know for a fact that it is not the USA but we're talking about a Korean Webtoon here not Japan. I'm pretty sure it's her (or his) own Webtoon - sure there's translators, cleaners, etc. - but it's most likely she has complete ownership in which she might allow a director to turn it into a million-dollar worthy drama that she doesn't like. O well, this argument is invalid either way since it is not a fact that she lied lol
As if she will tell her real feelings and thoughts
I mean, IF it was my own Webtoon that was being adapted into a drama, I would be honest about whether I liked it or not after the changes, but that's just me. I just highly doubt that she would've just let them make changes w/o her approval...I'm pretty sure she would be able to sue them for that.
For those hesitating to watch the drama or criticizing it for being different from the Webtoon, I actually read that the author of the Webtoon reads every script before the episodes are filmed and makes changes/approves them...she's actually very satisfied with the cast that was chosen for the drama (I read an interview) and she loves the changes that are being made throughout.
I'm currently on episode 5 and all I can say is that I love the drama so far. The male lead is so cute (at least in my perspective). I've never heard of him or seen him before so I think his acting is pretty good for someone who's new to acting. His character is cold but straightforward and honest - he isn't blinded by beauty and he acts on his feelings toward Mi Rae - which is new to me since I've never really seen a male lead that is so sure about their feelings and isn't afraid to portray that - he also doesn't lie to himself. The female lead goes well with him, in my personal opinion. I ship it so far. I don't see any problem with their acting either and I've seen dramas where some people really can't act. Soo Ah's character is so annoying to me and so far, the only flaw I see within the female lead's character is her inability to see how fake Soo Ah is.
I love the lessons that have been taught so far. For example, when Mi Rae said "When family hates each other it's usually out of disappointment" - like, that honestly touched my heart because it's so true. The drama is pretty good - sure it's "nothing special" but it has its own charm. I read some comments saying that it was different from the Webtoon BUT all I can say is that it isn't new - I don't think any drama [that's based off a book/webtoon] ever goes exactly alike. Anyways, if anyone is looking for a somewhat cliché (but not really, I think the storyline is pretty unique), but funny and interesting drama, I recommend this.
Did Netflix change the episode schedule again?? Only one ep on Friday now ?
Actually I think it's two episodes every Friday. Although Netflix (at least for me) only shows 29 episodes, once I finished the 29th episode, the 30th episode appeared and I watched it on Netflix.
As someone who has never read the manga or watched any of the previous dramas that were based on the manga, I seriously love and am enjoying the drama A LOT. Y'all might hate me for this but I highkey ship Huaze Lei and Shancai :^(
