how many episodes have you seen? if you watch through all 16 episodes everything is explained including the sniper…
what do you deem a pointless character? Sun does add to the story so thus meaning he does have a point. Side characters are necessary to any story. In order for a character to be useless, they'd have to not add anything to the story but Sun does add stuff. He adds more than seo hae's mom but are you gonna call her a pointless character too? She's not btw bc she's is necessary to SH's life.
sigma's part completely confused me and the plane scene was pretty confusing but tae sul is dead and that plane…
wait so I've been thinking about this and i think that the plane scene is the "after-life." Tae sul said to seo hae to come find him even if there's no future (which is such a cryptic thing to say wtf) but if theres no future then theres no SH (at least not the one that he knows and has all his memories with). SH disappeared and no longer exists bc the uploader was never built. That means that she can't "find" him bc she doesn't exist anymore. Tae sul is also dead and theres no other version of himself so again theres nothing for her to find. I think he said that as a "poetic profess my love for you" type of thing rather than him being literal. Idk what to call it which is why I said "after-life" but what I mean is TS is dead and that is just him living out his dream. At the begging of the series he said that if he ever falls in love, he want to take the girl to hawaii. On SH's birthday he told her about how he bought tickets to hawaii so that they can go there together. He's probably living out his dreams of taking her to hawaii...but he's still dead and she no longer exists. As for sigma I still agree with what I said. Sigma said that he only wished that one person would care and try to stop him so when SH's dad put a jacket on him, that made him not hate the world anymore. Since he didn't hate the world, his desires to kill everyone disappeared so that's why the future Sigma started flickering. However nothing about TS rlly changed in his life so his hatred/envy for TS still exists. There's nothing he can do about it now though bc TS is dead. Sigma's thoughts on TS haven't changed but he no longer wants to kill everyone.
That's my interpretation at least. Sisyphus basically just had an open ending that left it up to the viewer's interpretation.
the only characters I wanted a happy ending for were Sun and BingBing. I like some of the others but like i'd be fine with whatever. I just really wanted Sun and BingBing to be happy bc they deserve it. thankfully my wish was granted
sigma's part completely confused me and the plane scene was pretty confusing but tae sul is dead and that plane…
I was reading explinations and now I'm even more confused. I know that tae sul told seo hae to come find him and then it cut to the scene on the airplane from ep1 but this time seo hae is on the plane with him. the articles i'm reading are saying that she found him but like who did she find? in order for the war to stop, he had to die...so what tae sul did she find. bro what now i'm just lost
sigma's part completely confused me and the plane scene was pretty confusing but tae sul is dead and that plane…
I don't know if they were trying to go for a potential season 2 so they might've left sigma's storyline like that on purpose or they could've been going for an open-ish ending. I think they were trying to do one or the other. Somehow present sigma got his hands on the notebook from the guy thats the head of the control bureau. Bc of seo hae's dad I don't think he hates the world anymore. I think his hatred is only for Tae Sul.
sigma's part completely confused me and the plane scene was pretty confusing but tae sul is dead and that plane…
it was like the FL and ML sacrificed themselves so that everyone got a happy ending and maybe i'm the odd one out but I'm happy with that ending. Even if they don't end up together, their love for each other was real. I think overall it's a happy ending but a "sad ending" for the leads.
Someone explain the ending please! CONFUSED AF! ??
I'd recommend you read articles (not now bc there aren't rlly any since it aired a few hours ago) explaining it in detail. I don't get what's going on with sigma but the rest i get the gist. Tae Sul killed himself so the uploader was never built. Since it wasn't built, everyone who came over using it disappeared. The plane scene was just Tae sul hallucinating.
Earlier, I read comments on how the f the shooter not immediately shoot tae sul at conference, and now i know…
i love how all the things that ppl were saying were plot holes or unrealistic, were all explained in episodes 15-16. If ppl stick things out they would know these things.
I have no idea what the hell is going on with sigma but basically tae sul is dead and seo hae disappeared bc the uploader was never built (everyone else who came with the uploader also disappeared). The plane scene was just tae sul hallucinating. I'm going to read articles that explain ep 16 tho bc I wanna make sure I got everything and I'd recommend you do the same.
Okay but is it just me or is there anyone else who's confused about the ending too?I almost got everything and…
sigma's part completely confused me and the plane scene was pretty confusing but tae sul is dead and that plane scene was just his hallucination/dream.
I was so confused seeing Sigma die so fast and that too twice, so I also checked the duration of the episode thinking…
i was thinking about how bing bing and park had a father-daughter type of relationship but i didn't think they would actually be father and daughter. I'm just glad that bing bing and sun got a happy ending. tbh they were the only ppl that i was concerned abt
full of plot holes I can’t even drive a truck over them
how many episodes have you seen? if you watch through all 16 episodes everything is explained including the sniper during the conference. shows with time travel are always complex and hard to understand.
i really hate being right sometimes. The moment that sun came back, I knew he was going to die. I just knew they were gonna kill him off so I remember commenting that I just want him to survive all the way through episode 16. I love sun sm and my heart is broken. I was in class while i was watching the scene and i just couldn't focus on any of my classes for the remainder of the day bc i kept looking at pictures of him and crying.
I'm not ready to see his mom and sister receive the news of his death.
Why dont u celebrate his debut, music career and good friendships rather than acting like the entire point to seojun's…
1.) Cho Rong is actually the only character i would say who was actually a good friend to SJ. I'll scroll back and quote myself directly. "In my comment I said close friends...I didn't say friends. There's a difference in having ppl that you call you're close friends and friends. At surface level yes he had these ppl around him but at the end of the day he couldn't rlly go to them." (^direct quote) As you can I see I never said SJ didn't have any friends but i wouldn't say he had anyone to depend on. There are infinite things a character COULD do but it's a matter of are they comfortable doing so. How comfortable you are depends on your closeness.
2.) Idk if this was ur intention but u make it seem like your best friend committing suicide is just another day ? SJ's relationship with SH is no longer on bad terms...thats all i would say regarding him and SH. I wouldn't say that they're close friends or best friends (so no there relationship isn't restored to what it used to be). SH has proved time and time again that he values JK more than any friendship with SJ (let alone being best friends). His mom's health did improve and his sister is happy. Those are both fact. I've never claimed that he has nothing good in his life. Not having a happy ending doesn't equal having nothing positive happen to you.
3.) How is this even one of your points when you literally just repeated what i said. I never even said this was negative. I've openly said since that beginning that SJ deserves better than JK....she was literally a shitty friend to him...I can't even imagine her as a SO (to him). Seojun's ending was open ended. Other characters had a definitive ending in terms of their standing. They left Seojun's ending up to your imagination. Whether he'll be happy in the future is left up to your imagination.
4.)I never claimed that him becoming an idol was a negative step. You claimed that this was his happy ending which isn't true. He showed no drive for that throughout the drama. The thing about fame is that it comes with a lot of negativity (and mental health issues). That was his biggest issue with the industry (and what led to his best friend's suicide). Saying that he got a happy ending bc he joined that VERY SAME industry is absurd.
5.) I went back and copy and pasted what you said "you should also take your own advise and stop commenting on people with a different viewpoint" There is no point in lying about what you said when you can easily scroll back to see exactly what you said. You are literally saying this is a discussion page (which it is) and thats exactly what we're doing...but when two people who disagree with you are having a discussion....you call that complaining.
I have addressed these points and im just repeating myself (with the occasional rephrasing). you never even mentioned one of my biggest points. How can you say seojun had a happy ending, when he was visibly happier in episode 1? If a character was better off in the first episode than they were in the season finale....they did NOT have a happy ending. You can't be worse off than when you started and still consider that a happy ending.
The irony in the fact that you're entire reply was just saying I didn't respond to your points (which I already did) but the ONLY point of mine you addressed was regarding your reply to @zealous. You didn't even try to bring up anything that I said except for what you said to @zealous. your defense was also a blatant lie. LOL
Seo hae represents Sisyphus. She has been going trying to save Tae sul for all of time. She's stuck in this time…
yeah at first i was contemplated who represented Sisyphus bc of the sin aspect but the sin is like a smaller part of the myth so when you look at everything overall, it makes more sense. Plus seo hae is the overall main character (tae sul is too but she's like the MAIN main if that makes sense) and she's the one doing all the time traveling so it makes sense that she's sisyphus. I'm glad i could help tho :)
It's Seo Hae's first loop, but President Park has been trying to save his family through endless loops.
this time loop has been going on for infinity hence the myth sisyphus. seo hae also is aware. park has more experience than her that's why he's more knowledgeable but she is aware. In terms of experiencing things, everyone is experiencing things for the first time. Thats why park didn't know that the safe was empty or that seo hae would betray him. The time travelers know abt what has already happened while they lived through it, but they are clueless as to everything else.
That's my interpretation at least. Sisyphus basically just had an open ending that left it up to the viewer's interpretation.
I think they were trying to do one or the other. Somehow present sigma got his hands on the notebook from the guy thats the head of the control bureau. Bc of seo hae's dad I don't think he hates the world anymore. I think his hatred is only for Tae Sul.
everyone else has a happy ending tho.
