at this point its not rlly a theory anymore bc they basically confirmed it. The diary confirmed the on time loop. The guy who lost his grandma is also further proof. His life is just one big time loop much like seo hae although seo hae is on a mission to save tae sul and the guy just wanted to say good bye to his grandma

i highly recommend you watch today's episode (episode 6) it was so good. I'd say its the best so far.

Her mom is sick and the control bureau (it might be sigma but i think its the control bureau) said they would give her family the medicine they need to save her mom's life...if they get the key from him. The pills she's giving him were to make him lose his guard and also to make sure that he'll never recover bc she was planning to put him into a psych ward. They changed the dates and tried to convince him that everything that he experienced with seo hae was just a hallucination and that she never existed. She "exposed" her plan bc she was under the impression that that the meds had worked for long enough to make him lose his guard and when she realized that he was even more conscious of his surroundings, she called in the guards to catch him.

I'm a little bit confused about what you're trying to say so correct me if I miss interpertted what you were saying.
President Park was the one who said that about the memories and one of them ceasing to exist and tbh that memory part kinda confused me so I'll probably rewatch that scene whenever I get the chance (he was kinda vague tbh). If i remember correctly, he only said that memories would alter...he didn't rlly explain it much other than that. If we think abt it, the guy from the future who went to see his grandma died. For a small amount of time both of the hims existed but eventually only the one of present survived and the other died. I think it's like that with seo hae. She's going to die on her wedding day. The reason seo hae(1) doesn't know abt the wedding is bc she never expierenced it. She hasn't reached the time for the wedding yet. The wedding happens (like you said) before the war happens. Seo hae (2) is the one who has lived through the wedding and died but at that time seo hae (1) was nine years old. She was given the diary and she kept it until she finally went back in time. If seo hae (1) marries tae sul then it would happen before the war breaks out.

Its essentially the same person but different times. If the you 5 years from now, time travels to you right now, that would mean there are two of you. Essentially you're the same person but you have different experiences bc you're at different points in your life. Your connection to the other you would simply be the fact that you're the same person. another important factor is the greek myth sisyphus. Sisyphus was basically given a punishment where he had to push a boulder to the top of a mountain, but the problem was that once it was at the top, it would just roll to the other side. Sisyphus was stuck doing this for eternity. In this drama seo hae would represent Sisyphus, tae sul would be the boulder, and the top of the mountain would represent seo hae saving tae sul and stopping the war. seo hae has been trying to save tae sul for eternity but each time she fails and has to give the diary with the message to her 9 year old self so that her 9 year old self will try to save tae sul (and hopefully succeed). That's where the time loop comes into play. As far as the war goes, I'm pretty sure it happens in 2020. When the guy from the last episode asked what the day was they said "August 19th 2020" so its 2020 rn...so assuming the war doesn't take 5 months to happen, it would happen in 2020 but there is a chance it could happen in 2021.

tell me why I started crying after seeing the preview. I'm so scared for tomorrow's episode but so excited at the same time. I can't bear to see seo hae hurt and the way that tae sul was asking "where's seo hae" :'( literally my heart is breaking for them. Their development this episode was just too cute. the scenes where he bought her all that food bc she was malnourished <33

I doubt her dad would leave his wife. Seo Hae was supposed to travel back in time to enjoy her life (from her dad's perspective at least) and not to stop the war. Her dad wants her to be happy and enjoy her life instead of living in the hell that is the future but her dad doesn't want to leave his wife. The reason he said that to her is (the everyone dies in the end thing) is so that she would leave. It would also be really random if the show did that. If they want to involve her dad that's in the current time period...it would still be very random but at least it would make more sense.
There is a five percent survival chance so why would her dad abandon his wife and risk that. The reason he wants Seo Hae to leave is because he wants her to enjoy her life. He wouldn't leave his wife over and try to go to the future.

her family wouldn't recognize her. they've never met her grown up self. They don't know abt time travel or any of that yet so even if they saw her, they wouldn't know who she was.

Yeah i contemplated who would repersent Sisyphus but episode 5 basically confirmed that Seo Hae is Sisyphus and Tae Sul is the boulder and the top of the mountain would be her saving him and stopping the war.

okay so there are only two hers. The nine year old her that's alive rn and the her that the show is following. The Seo Hae that the show follows wrote the diary and gave it to her nine year old self. It's basically an on going cycle (hence the name of the show). The show is called Sisyphus which is a greek myth that you can look up to get the story. Her life is basically been her trying to get the bolder to the top of the mountain (reference to the greek myth). The nine year old her always keeps the diary with her but thats why she doesn't know about the wedding bc she hasn't experienced it. The Seo Hae that gave the diary to her experienced the wedding and not her.

For the sake of making things easier to understand i'm going to give her numbers.

Seo Hae that the story follows = Seo Hae 1
Seo Hae that gave the diary to Seo Hae 1 = Seo Hae 2
9 year old Seo Hae that we haven't met yet = Seo Hae 3

Seo Hae (2) gave Seo Hae (1) the diary when Seo Hae (1) was nine years old. Hence when the war broke out. Seo Hae (1) never married him, in fact she never even met him until the whole ordeal at the conference. The conference was her first time meeting him hence her saying "you look different than the photo" (the photo being the magazine photo she saw of him). The flashback we saw were actually of Seo Hae (2) aka the one who wrote the diary and is currently dead. That's why Seo Hae (1) said she doesn't know when he asked her about the wedding photo. We haven't yet met Seo Hae (3) yet bc she's currently 9. However we have seen a glimpse of her dad on episode 4. You might've missed it but he was the cop asking why they were blocking off the road (during the car chase). If Seo Hae (2) succeeds at stopping the war and saving Tae Sul (and thus breaking the time loop) then the diary thing won't happen, BUT if she fails....Seo Hae (2) will end up writing the same message in the diary to give to Seo Hae (3) and the story will repeat.
