lol i actually wanna add miss the dragon to the recommendations. but i guess we should all pretend like it doesn't…
It was actually a good drama, but the writing wasn’t amazing and his character was rather one dimensional. Also he looks much better with black hair than white. I watched for the second couple.
i'm assuming that he's immortal and can't really die, but his spirit is scattered so XY just nurtured his spirit…
That makes sense. I was wondering how immortals could die. But I guess it’s like in the beginning when DFQC’s spirit was scattered and her powers recollected and formed him. Since his bone orchid thing was made from his heart blood it is a part of his physical form so if she collects his spirit then he could come back. I guess that’s how it is? I wish they’d spent more time exposing this.
Such epic Ep 35. I’m so glad they wrote 35 like this so their reunion in Ep 36 feels more realistic. That scene on the bridge just broke my heart. Dylan Wang did another phenomenal job in that scene. I do feel like they could have had their reunion a little longer. Maybe another 5 minutes. It just felt a bit abrupt. Like, did he come back for real? How?
Wow that TouchNGo kiss at ep35.. freaking amazingly beautifully done. Think i repeated it a billions times >.
Right? And that scene on the bridge! I had to pause it twice to wipe my tears. He did such an amazing job in that scene! Like every scene he has been killing it!
I would do a full review when this is done. But just want to drop this here that out of all Xianxia series that…
I agree! The Moon Tribe wardrobe and the set! All were so beautiful! And DGQC looked stunning from headpiece to toes! And such beautiful long hair! I’d never seen a long wig like that look that good on an actor. And his eyes! Omg such beautiful eyes!!
Same! I want a happy ending (a satisfying happy ending) for DFQC & XLH so much!! And I just finished watching…
I agree. I think they could have made this at least 2 more episode longer. But I did appreciate how quick they went through Ep 31. It was like taking off a bandaid.
I just saw that some people left reviews. Those reviews don't even make sense when they didn't even give the drama…
I decided to just ignore them. It’s their loss. This drama is arguably one of the best Xianxia dramas ever made. Everything about it was amazing: the story, the set, the costumes, hair and makeup, the cgi and effects, the sounds, music, the lighting, and of course the acting!! There will always be haters and I think they post just to complain. I don’t even bother trying to convince them anymore, if they’re going to be prejudiced they will be so I say let the fans love this drama and ignore the haters.
I had just watched some videos in YourTube and read some comments. Someone asked does the ML always cry when a…
It’s sort of ridiculous right? It’s like asking, hey are actors human? I mean we demand actors to be so immersed and be one with their characters when they are acting. But when they are done to just walk away like nothing. Seeing all the bts I can’t imagine Dylan Wang being able to just walk away from DFQC when the director says cut. Im sure it stays a part of him for a while. I mean, he WAS DFQC for months. And to have to say goodbye to that piece of you, and also to Orchid and all the characters you grew to love in the story, how can he not be sad? How can any actor immersed in a character not be sad? People who ask these silly questions are just ignorant I think.
The Rational Life is great series. Has Dylan. I didn't like him in Ever Night 2 but he is really good in Rational…
I started The Rational Life. On Ep 18 and it’s not doing much for me. Dylan seems wasted in that drama. His character seems so flat. Also, the story is a bit dull and so is the FL. I don’t know who the writer and director are but they weren’t great. When you compare it similar career woman younger man dramas like Find Yourself or What Women Want you can see why those were successful and this one not so much. Still going to finish it but after seeing Dylan Wang as DFQC not sure I can see him as Qi Xiao.
everything aside, can we talk about the IMMENSE improvement in Dylan Wang's acting prowess?! he owned this role…
I think he always had it on him but needed the right FL, director and character to really pull it out. I’m watching The Rational Life right now and he feels wasted in that drama. His character just seems so flat and not very interesting. I felt the same way with Miss the Dragon. Here, DFQC is a complex character with a deep back story and range of traumas and emotions. He did such a great job with this character. I think his expressions are so versatile and he seems very devoted. I hope he gets the right team again and a really great role. Since he proved himself here hopefully he will get more complex characters.
