XL was indeed horrid at the beginning. But at that point she was just someone he cared nothing for.
CX though, had no qualms about breaking the legs of someone who had saved his life. I cannot root for him.

Same, an absolute no for me. That was how XL treated someone he cared nothing for. CX broke her legs even though he felt grateful to her for saving his life. TSJ abandoned her to fend for herself against two gods bent on revenge even though he loved her. He got better while the other two got worse.
I would like nothing more than happiness for XL. But to me one of his best traits (sadly) is his unwavering devotion to the general and soldiers.
