I just finished watching New world, Korean movie similar plot with the worst of evil, the ending of new world is more satisfying for me lol, i recommend it to you.

My theory about the ending is that JCW became attached to Gi cheol and Chinese girl, and he was also emotionally affected of the narcotics officer death.
Btw , I recommend to you to watch the asset and undercover Belgian series,both are great undercover series.
