After several repeat watches, I confirm that my favourite arc is in the first six episodes. This doesn't mean the drama goes downhill from episode 7; it's just that I re-watch the first six episodes the most!
I was always perplexed why Shen Li asked XZ to "compensate" her with his life if she fell in battle. After a re-watch, it dawned on me - she gave XingYun half her cultivation (of 500 years) to save this mortal's life. After that, she was only half as powerful; therefore was a much weaker fighter.
The marketing for this drama must be strong, as the ratings here are a bit inflated. While it has good production…
It's a number's game, @GulserenArslan. Some rate it a 7 or lower. But many more rate it a 9 or a 10 and the result is 8.8. And no, I don't rate a drama highly because of the promotions. I rate it highly because the series is excellently acted, executed and produced. Accompanying music is very important too. But most importantly, the drama touched my heart and/or made me think and reflect. That's why I rated this drama a 9.5/10.
its called 劉牧 - 神明無æ¢i super love this one too
Although I love XZ's magic power house music most, I thought a more appropriate ring tone for my phone (just changed) would be that tune whenever something funny happens. Reminds me a bit of the Pink Panther.
What is the drama trying to tell us when it depicted a village boy's life with XZ drinking and suffering from what appears to be depression? (in ep 33)
