I enjoy the toxic romcomy essence of the show. You know the devil can snap anytime and you know that FL is just pretending so she can seal his evil bone, and it's more of a game of cat and mouse but it's sexy as hell lol - I can't wait for stuff to blow up on their faces lol
Expecting this drama to be anything other than a marvellously entertaining xianxia is like going to the clown school and complaining about their curriculum of nuclear physics. I'm just here for the fun.
Didn't think she'd grow on me so much but I miss little foxy so much. She's so fun to see. i love her. She's literally one of the best characters in the show!! Bring her back! I need Foxy x Demonic Sang Jiu tag team lol
Killing innocents for revenge was nothing to her already. But why the ef she aggroed solely on poor CP, who had…
What I picked up from the plot was that she was probably a woman from the thief town forced into the profession, but she took advantage of her position which put her in proximity to the evil minister(who clearly loves holding meets in such places). He found her useful and wanted a woman he could control within the harem. So she was taken up as his family member and she could enter the palace. Perhaps the evil minister also enjoyed the concept of giving the king a "sullied" woman because he's just a disgusting man.
My favorite type of dramas are inner palace dramas which have all sorts of morally abhorrent things going on (instigated both by the protagonists and the antagonists) so people freaking out over ep 14 here make me laugh lol
I like TTJ’s character. It’s easy to understand why he is the way he is and I love that he is so unapologetic…
Mingye is what I hate in xianxia dramas whose ML is the god of war or the hero(including the universal favs like TSL or 1000s others. They are so boring - the only real conflict they face is love vs duty, which is so overdone. Just gimme an evil lord ML that chooses the FL unapologetically when even the whole world goes to hell.
This is the second time it's happened, and it's pretty much similar to the first time, but can we please stop…
Thank you. I completely agree. Fiction, especially the one targeted at adults, is not supposed to be a guide to morality. It is supposed to have bad and problematic things. The drama's only job is to entertain the viewer, not to teach them.
He didn't do anything much toward his nanny. Just gave her the rope and watched her hang herself, so to speak.…
I think the ML is not evil. He just lacks empathy. He'd not shove you into a burning pit but he wouldn't give you a drop of water to help you out either. The basic premise seems to be that he's incapable of empathy because of the evil bone, not that he has some internal drive to commit evil acts. That also makes his pursuit of revenge ruthless. Makes a lot of sense tbh
I don't mind these morally grey tropes at all. I love fiction because I like people being wrong and problematic and effed up lol So i couldn't care less about TTJ's actions towards his nanny or the FL's drug. As long as it gives me an interesting story, I'm down. In this context, if YBC becomes a good antagonist that drives the plot instead of an annoying one that works on basic green tea bish philosophy, I'd love her too.
I'm into bad bois who fell for the girl first so the current timeline isn't appealing to me! I hope that he falls harder than her or the dreamscape version ends soon! I usually adore pairings in which the guy is a sobbing, whimpering mess without the girl lol
I've only binged eight episodes and I know for a fact that I'll go through several breakdowns watching this and boy am I down for it. THE ACTING. THE CGI. THE ANGST. THE MUTUAL TOXICITY. THE HURT. THE COMFORT. I love every single bit of this drama and it exceeded all my expectations and if anything happens to my baby devil and the cutie angel I'll fill this comment section with my tears.
