Yes it's because of her mom. Her mom has mental problems, that's why Aemie is like that. But that is also her…
it was very accurate, Amie has her own world where she follows whatever she is thinking. That's why I think breaking the fourth wall works because that's explaining her thought process. Also, it's only Aemie and Alyana who'll be like that. The rest, specially Zeke, will act normally.
To those people who find it cringe and finds the FL dumb, it's based on a Wattpad novel written in 2010-2012 (not sure). Also the novel fans loved this Aemie because it's straight out of the Novel. She's supposed to be airhead and that makes it funny. Personally I get second hand embarrassment because of Aemie. However I like how the story is progressing
Can the novel readers clarify if the FL is supposed to come off like… mentally challenged like this? 😭😭😭
Yes it's because of her mom. Her mom has mental problems, that's why Aemie is like that. But that is also her charm, that's why a lot people loved the book
i love the relationship of 2nd main couple. Huhuhuhu such a cute depiction of ideal married life. I wish i could live my future marriage that way too. They are so natural T^T
I love the character dynamics and the character design. Also, I love that the story uses the art of architecture for the background, as an architecture student, it makes me appreciate architecture more. However, that's why I don't like watching dramas related to my course because I always end up nitpicking instead of enjoying the story. Because why are they still drawing when the competition deadline is close? Shouldn't they be finishing their renders instead? T^T don't mind me, I'm just rumbling.
While watching this drama I am reminded of Poppy War by R.F Kuang. Both didn't sugarcoat war, and have morally gray characters. Maybe that's why I love this series too. Though, of course Poppy War is so much more darker than Pursuit of Jade. Ps: Gonsun Yin reminds me of Kitay🥺
Tian Xi Wei appreciation here!!!! She's so cool, along with her character, without sacrificing her femininity. She's not that feminine, though; however, they also didn't make her character cosplay a man. Also, amazing that they actually made an entire scene of her just fighting a very significant general without even a Man saving her. This drama just makes me love her character more and more. ps: It's not that a woman loses her coolness if a man saves her. It's just that it just keeps happening in media that they do not even let a woman shine as herself.
I realized the reason I love this drama is that there's no damsel in distress, or main lead that has a savior complex. They can take care of themselves, but can still take care of each other. I have never watched this kind of dynamic since Blossom in adversity.
Ps: Gonsun Yin reminds me of Kitay🥺
