good tips. it is tough watching most of these alone, but I'm glad my husband doesn't roll his eyes. He got hooked on You're Beautiful with me. Sadly, he works too much to fully enjoy them with me. In the meantime we're watching Vampire Prosecutor 2 together (he really liked the first season as well). I hold off watching it until the weekend.
You're right though, try to find something your friends or family members might like. There are lots of genres in the drama world to pick from.
However, I would still love to have a friend nearby that I can watch with while husband's at work. Can't really get my kids interested in it at all (they're ages 16-20). Well, my oldest is liking Hana Kimi (Japan).
