I'm getting tired of this age gap matter. He signed this contract before FL.but he got all hates. But let's be…
Nah preach fr! I am so tired of them commenting under this post everyday acting like the FL going to change…it’s not 😭 suck it up, these are two professional actors and all these people are doing is just harming their images because they’re upset about the age gap.
Like please, even if she was 19 they would’ve still made this a problem when it’s not really a big problem. Because you can definitely tell they have a junior and senior relationship, and she admire him but it’s not romantic or anything.
“Not everything needs to be turned into an uncomfortable or inappropriate situation." But this is an inappropriate…
I understand your concern, and I’m not trying to downplay it — it’s valid to feel uncomfortable about an adult and a minor being paired in a romantic storyline. What I was pointing out is that these situations are often part of a bigger production issue rather than an intentional moral one. It’s not ideal, but it’s also not the same as condoning something inappropriate.
There’s a difference between having a valid concern and turning it into a personal accusation or moral panic, and that’s the part I was referring to when I said “not everything needs to be turned into an uncomfortable situation.”
wtf are you saying she's just 17 she doesn't need crazy popularity she's a child bro
Well if you want to be a bigger hit as an actress…popularity is needed. You expect her to sit around and wait for a call? Like what 😂
17 going on 18 in 9 months, by 18 she will definitely be more casted in these roles, so she’s preparing for it. If I was her I would hate being 18 playing boring roles, and being side characters.
All jokes aside, we all understand the situation here — yes, she’s a minor and he’s an adult, but I don’t get why people are acting so shocked. Casting minors in mature or adult roles has been happening for a long time, even in some of your favorite dramas and series. Is it right? No, but it’s also not new. Sometimes actors take these kinds of roles because it helps them gain recognition faster, and in this case, she fit the part after the original actress stepped down.
I’ve seen people complain when adults play teenagers in romantic roles, and I’ve seen people complain when actual teenagers play them. It’s a never-ending cycle, and honestly, it’s tiring. It’s acting — not everything needs to be turned into an uncomfortable or inappropriate situation. Let’s stop being so negative.
I’ve also seen people claim they tried to make her look older with heavy makeup, which honestly isn’t true. I’ve watched the behind-the-scenes clips and seen her off-camera — she still looks her age, around 17–18. They didn’t try to age her up; she just wore red lipstick. There’s no need to twist that into something strange.
At the end of the day, if the situation makes you uncomfortable, you don’t have to watch the drama. But constantly posting about how “disturbing” it is doesn’t change anything. Calling it grooming or pedophilia isn’t accurate when everything seems properly supervised and all parties, including Ai Mi herself, have consented. We can blame the parents and agency all we want but then again you guys do not know who these people really are, stop trying to make things weirder than it already is. None of us know these people personally, so acting like investigators or psychologists online just feels unnecessary.
This drama is going to suffer from all the rumors and unnecessary commentary, so please stop spreading misinformation and getting these people into trouble.
ok irrelevant Ik, but why do I lowkey see Jung Chae Yeon playing Serena (webtoon), I really think she could play her after watching Beyond the Bar she gave that domineering performance when serving justice for her clients, her eyes are filled w emotions, and the style fits her 100%
oh nah, I need viki or Netflix to take this for me bc I can’t work TENCENT oh my gosh, all the good dramas are on there, any website recommendations ?!
I think this might be about the comment I made yesterday, so I’m gonna reply.Okay, so you’re allowed to critique…
And I agree with you but people are calling her annoying because of episode two, the ML even points out way "do you really not know anything? are you pretending to not know" is most likely the real reason why people find her quite annoying because she kept pinning everything on to the ML when he did nothing. In this case the ML's actions aren’t contributing to the negative reactions from viewers, so my point still stand. The viewers disliking her isn't about her gender because everyone seemed to enjoy her in episode 1, but episode 2 is where she starts to get more frustrated for the viewers because she isn't understanding the situation. Which is reasonable because I strongly dislike poorly reckless character, dense character, frustrating characters, toxic behaviours.

I did admit, that how I know you didn't take the time to just read the discussion. You misread everything I said in the first post and second post. But sometimes, it is a simple perspective, I understand the bigger issue, but my opinion isn’t about sexism—it’s about a character’s actions. I am not saying women don't face harsher critiques because they do, but you can obviously point of the difference in the painting when people are just being plain misogyny or just having a simple perspective. But you can't differentiate between a misogyny discussion or a simple discussion, which is why you shouldn't be ready to talk about this.
You read my discussion as a misogyny, when it literally has nothing to do that. And I do believe people should start pointing out more of the ML behaviours more than the FL .I've seen way worse discussion about a FL then this comment section, for example, Boys over flower and Melody of Golden Age... the disrespect towards women on these two dramas are way more nasty then this little side commentaries of "the FL is kind of annoying".
I think this might be about the comment I made yesterday, so I’m gonna reply.Okay, so you’re allowed to critique…
My criticism is hardly even criticism towards the FL, I don't find her annoying just to find her annoying... you would find anyone whose poorly reckless and dense annoying as well. And that what she gave off during episode 2, I comment about male leads as well not just female leads, nobody safe honestly. If the character annoying to me, I'm going to point it out. That my point. I don't have to hide behind anything, I am very blunt person when it comes to my dislike and likes to a character... so don't paint this image as I'm someone who cover up my hatred for female leads with opinions because I would never loool. Mind you the "P.S" part wasn't even for you... but okay.. no one acts entitled when people point of the bias trust me. This world revolves around having bias and pointing out people biasness. No one likes to hear other people disagreements and opinions about their bias though.
Nor am I judging other women more harshly than men because I have never done that, so don't make it seem like that because of a simple perspective on the FL. Don't be weird.
I am not the one to judge characters quickly, especially two episodes in and I don't want you guys thinking I am picking on FL Character just because she's a girl. I am a strong FL lover, however her character annoys me solely because of how reckless and dense she is. Yes, we know character development exist for a reason... but what I'm saying is that she have a lingering of annoyance to her character because of her poor recklessness. Throughout episode 1 and 2 she's be holding a grudge or nitpicking at the ML since she realized who he was. Which at first I thought it was funny, who wouldn't... but episode 2 irritated me because in my head, I am saying 'there's no way she doesn't know her own class... no way she doesn't sense the room, or can't tell who's being bully or not'. But this doesn't mean I dislike her because I don't dislike her. I think she is very cute and silly at some time and I am still waiting for her development.
And I hate how people can't have judgement on a female character without people taking it in a sexist way. We get, most men get away with their toxic and disgusting behavior if their really handsome, but the same goes for women in dramas. I don't mean to invalidate this kind of topic because I do agree female leads do get hated more than the male leads. Mind you this is my first time commenting on a FL in a not so positive way.
P.S, Let people have their own opinions, like you do. So stop acting entitled when you hear other people perspective on something.
It's part 2 of the drama, like Immortal Samsara, Love Like the Galaxy, The Blue Whisper. It's bcs the limit episode…
There be dramas that be more than 40 episodes without a part 1 or 2. So this isn't because of limitations, it most like because the story arc is different from part 1 of Flourished Peony, so they are splitting the drama into two.
Ok, my highly biased opinion:This series is so weird. The man FL loved the most was the only one who has never…
This can definitely be argued, or even seen as agree to disagree. At first, I thought Cang Xuan had romantic feelings for Xiao Yao but the more you watch this drama and settle all the characters in, you wouldn’t think he had romantic feelings for her but more so guilty obsession love for her. She strictly only saw Cang Xuan a brother, even if she wanted to see him more than a brother she wouldn’t dare to go after him because his achievements/goals didn’t match hers. What she wanted was a man that only had hearts for her because her mother abandoned her, that where this trauma obsession of being afraid of loneliness started. She never cared for romance, nor did she really knew what that was, Xiao Yao limited her on her heart and options because she was to afraid of missing out. That take us back to the relationship between Xiao Yao and Cang Xuan, she’s afraid of being alone but he’s afraid of losing her and not being able to protect her as he promised. Their relationship was strictly platonic but his guilty obsession for her made him forget what she really meant to him.
I personally love her in historical/costume period dramas rather than modern dramas because her acting skills be off the chart, rather I feel like there isn't as much character depth in modern (not just her ofc). I want to know is she planning anything after "Almost Love"?
