she don’t want to tell her dad bc she knew he would not allow it, as the same her mom. in today’s episode, you can see how distraught and upset her mom was. what parent would want their daughter to marry a dying 70 yr old man? if she were to tell her father, she knew he would pick a fight and her family would get kicked out. they would have no where to go. it may look like her dad was pushing her to the marriage but that was only bc he thought she was getting married to im jaeyi’s brother, not the grandfather. even then, she would’ve been a concubine. it was the only thing that could benefit her family.🥲🤷🏻‍♀️

if you watched this weeks episode you’d know she’s doing it for her family. she already feels like a burden bc she’s born as a eolnyeo. she doesn’t need to feel like a burden nor take on the wedding but she’s doing it so her family can have a roof over their heads. her whole family is actually against it and would rather live on the streets. also, bc she is a eolnyeo, she feels as though people will look at her differently bc they already do. she wants a happily ever after but what can she do? she’s born from a noble man and a slave mother. 🤷🏻‍♀️
