I see a parallel between our boys in the past in different ways never got heard or believed. So in the present they got a change to speak up and fight for themself. Like Ice got to protect other student from that slime and Saint stop being a people pleaser and speak up for himself. I am glad we got the backstory now and the focus gonna be about healing and getting heard.
I think many people misunderstand what the drama message is, so found an article where the writer talk about the message of the drama; “I wanted to deliver a message that is simple, but that we often forget: money can be a tool to change your life, but it should never become your ultimate goal. I wanted to deliver this simple message—one that’s easy to forget as we go about our lives. I wanted to cheer on people like us, who live with a clear conscience despite having no wealth or connections.” with that in mind it is clear that this gonna be more than just thriller and we see her learn some important human values that she never learned growing up.
To me the narrativ have been clear about the romance even though there is love triangle and so on. also beside romance there clearly a story about being honest about your feelings and finding your confidence. So we can see our three main characters trying to find themself and grow together as not just lovers but also as friends.

I do not see her as a villian, but more feeling left alone after seeing how close her friends are and how much she have missed out on being apart from them. I think she is the one that never let go of the past.
a detail I think many like me did not catch at first watch is that YR got information about DM being her landlord and his backstory as a former taekwondo athlete. I think his past gonna explain why he is so careful about new people. Also this make me think he gonna be a great partner for YR fighting side by side on equal front.
As YR have had a very hard life she gonna get a big family in the village people and learn unconditional love without any money or contract in the condition. to me it is very heartwarming seeing her walls slowly breaking and her finding herself there.
Ngl that YR and JP cafeteria scene of YR and JP eating food that the other doesn't like in sync gave married couple…
The fact that they know each other so well and have a very comfortable aura around each other show a relationship that would be stable and long lasting. Like they say the best romantic partner is the one that also you friend. I suppose this is what they want to tell.
I know many people is afraid a love triangle is coming for us in upcoming ep. but what if JH already dating someone else and the focus on second half is more on the girls friendship meeting again after 7 years, Also JH gonna help YR and JP out of their friend zone. I mean to me there was never any sign JH had very deep feelings for JP. I think it is a big change she moved on and her biggest regret is lossing her friend while running away, so therefor I think we gonna focus on them becoming friends again and not a love triangle in act 2. Also seems like JP has also moved on from JH without himself realizing it as he clearly slowly falling for YR as they are stuck in the friendzone.
I think this series would have been eve better if they had incorporated the genie plot into the koran culture more and make it more an unique twist to the tale.

I think it just meant to show that they have grow closer after 7 years building a strong bond, but most likely not dating as clearly JH is between them since she left so abruptly. Also consider we do not know what happened to JH she could have found a boyfriend by those 7 years and I have a feeling this three gonna need a closer from that chapter and thats what her returning gonna bring them. Also since kdrama writers love parallels I think maybe JH gonna root for YR and JP this time as she maybe sees how close they have become. anyway lets see what the next chapter bring us this weekend. :)
To me the fist half of the drama is about innocent and the fluttering confusion of first love. while second half gonna give a more mature romance and also show a romance that is more stable and long lasting.
I believe Dami character will grown up to change so much from a child to an adult, I'm sure.Some ppl are nagging…
I think people forget how they where as teenagers and how hormons and lack of life experience affect how teenagers behave. But yes we gonna see them evolve and change true years as they already tease we gonna get a time skip soon. :)
