If you still curious you can still watch it LOL it's not THAT bad, just an ok drama. The chemistry between the leads is good. But I don't recomend it to people that aren't hardcore romance fan

I thought eps 7 was the best episode, but eps 8 prove me wrong.

No her character doesn't grow LOL I also found myself to be cringing alot... first 3 eps are ok, eps 3-7 are fun cuz it focused more on FL career, eps 8-10 are down right cringe hahahah

hahaha I kinda agree with you. But since I watch and read alot of shoujo it's easier for me to let it pass LOL but even tho I enjoy this drama, I would also say this isn't my cup of tea. I don't really like FL cuz she is too moony and only thinks about love. I also don't really like ML cuz he is way too perfect and too cool for my taste (I like my man to be a bit of an idiot XD and a bit cute like a puppy). Also spoiler below for the character growth

I agree KanoKire compressing everything to 10 eps is very commendable. Each and every lines and scenes aren't wasted. Also the actings are very good

I watch this version first and curently on eps 9 of Korean version. I agree on jp vers the chemistry and bonds between the ML and FL are much more clearer. But I guess it's jdrama things too? Jdrama rarely focus on second lead, probably because of not enough screen time cuz Jdrama tends to be short. Imo if you want to watch more romantic version go for Japanese version, but if you want more character to be fleshed out you should go for Korean version. Anyway KanoKire gets better each episodes, I hope you enjoy it ^^

ML in jpn vers is indeed harsh, but not as rude and illogical as ML in kr vers. Imo in jpn vers the ML is more a strict, scary, and professional boss. He won't accept any mistake 😅 But he is indeed good as his job, logical, and very professional too. He kinda reminds me of the chief editor in Oh My Boss Koi. I think he is not nitpicking the FL, unlike ke kr vers. He also soon recognize the FL works cuz of FL hardworking nature and start to warms up to her.

The thing I hate the most about ML in kr version is, he actually fired FL for idk why??? Whereas in jp version ML never actually fired her, she resign cuz James Taylor pressured ML to fired the one who is responsible for the dress. After that the ML even persuaded James Taylor after that so FL can work in MOST again

Now I'm curently watching the Japanese vers and it seriously getting better each episode. The FL overeacting is toned down and ML is tolerable (and became really sweet as story progress). I really recomend it, cuz imo She was Pretty jpn vers is one of my fav drama. Especially if you like Hana Yori Dango, cuz for me KanoKire has HanaDan vibes ^^

Who the hell allow Sungjoon to drive??? He will have panic trauma episode when he drives in the rain, which btw rain happens ALOT so why he insist on driving when he can take idk taxi, bus, or train?? Not only it's dangerous for him, it also dangerous for others. He could kill someone! Also even when he is fully consious he still involved in fender bender accident cuz he is so absent minded (cuz he is thinking about Hyejin). Who gave this man driving license??

Sosuke is a really strict and profesional person I think. He is the kind of boss who doesn't take any excused and will beat our ass off if we make a mistake XD but on private he is really sweet and kind person. I found it really sweet he never hesitate with his feelings for Ai even tho he still doesn't know she is the "Ai". He fall in love with present Ai and past Ai TnT

I think it also because the screenwriter is women. Much of her work even tho subtle, really represent women in the society

This is A LOT better than Boys Over Flower korean vers. I really recomend you to watch it, but watch it from season 1 (Hana Yori Dango), season 2 (Hana Yori Dango 2), and then complete it with this movie (Hana Yori Dango final)

I hate how the story make Higuchi hurt like that TnT I rarely got SLS, but Higuchi got my heart hurts..... But I guess it isn't that bad cuz Ai never really reciprocate Higuchi's feeling and they don't really have alot of moments together. Also idk why KanoKire got me some HanaDan vibes XD

Haven't watch the kr version but Ai and Sosuke are very young too (28 yo) and Higuchi seem to be around that age too. But that just my opinion....

YES PLEASE MY THOUGHT EXACTLY!! I LOVE HOW SOSUKE FALL TWICE FOR AI!! Like even if everything back to zero they will find a way to fall for each other again TnT that just so sweet and magical TnT
Because this is adapted from Kdrama I kinda already expect the SLS will hit pretty hard.. Even tho it's not THAT bad, but I felt that pain with Higuchi. Even tho I ship Sosuke-Ai from the very begining. Oh I also feel bad for Risa, but it way more impactful for Sosuke to just run of searching for Ai than to hear Risa explanation first 😅 He run frantically to search Ai is just so sweet TT_TT
