On A Love So Beautiful Jan 21, 2021
I actually like this more than the original, surprised to see so much disdain for Heon here. Honestly I remember the ML of the Chinese ver being quite harsh to the FL so in comparison Heon seems pretty mellow and honestly it's pretty fitting for this type of romance drama. I think we just need to let the drama play out and see how Heon changes as a person over time.
On Because This Is My First Life Nov 26, 2020
started to rewatch this drama because it's on netflix and it's so good, I know its a little slow paced but that's the charm of seeing the main characters slowly get to know each other and it's definitely not a reason to not watch this drama. Also the ost is absolutely perfect

do I need to watch the prequel? honestly I'm here just to see seobin
honestly you don't need to watch the prequel, unless you're bored because if i'm honest the prequel is poorly executed and the storyline is just all over the place. I think you'll be able to follow along with the plot of this one without any prior knowledge
On Hey Sensei, Don't You Know? Nov 23, 2020
I only really was able to watch the first episode in full before skimming the rest of the episodes, I probably should have taken note to the "fast paced romance" tag because the way the story moved from ep 1 to ep 2 is insane. I'm new to jdramas but this type of show is definitely not for me and the ML's behavior was quite off putting for me. Maybe if you're really bored and have nothing to watch this is an option.
On Psychopath Diary Nov 10, 2020
Watched this last year and started rewatching with friends recently and it's seriously a great drama - Yoon Siyoon is criminally underrated as an actor and the versatility he has to pull off this particular role is amazing. Don't judge the drama by some of the negative reviews on here and give it a fair go before you drop it! I think the most important thing is to let yourself get lost in their world (like most dramas it isn't realistic all the time but seeing past that will allow you to really enjoy the drama for what it is).

Title Mermaid Prince Spoiler
I watched this because of Bin and its a shame that his character wasn't really fleshed out well, as well as the fact that he isn't even a mermaid. Additionally, like another user said I found some angles and lighting to be unflattering as though they had been over saturated or something. Acting from everyone was pretty natural and easy going, especially liked the female lead because she didn't over do anything so it came across exactly as it should have. I was looking forward to this because it's Moonbin's first major acting project on his own and I liked how he did in Moments of 18, but it felt like his character was shafted to the side despite him being the ML. The focus on the male friend's crush kinda took the story on a tangent and it fell into a lot of typical tropes which I didn't initially expect the drama to go towards. I think its an easy watch and for Bin it should be a good way to get into more acting projects but definitely lacks depth. The open ending also doesn't make much sense and it feels a little out of place but if they do decide to do a second season, I hope it is more creative and places a bigger focus on developing the main characters.

I'm genuinely confused about this scandal. Admittedly, I only read like three articles, but it basically just…
I think a lot of the anger towards him stems from how his character in ALSB and in real life is quite polarizing and to be fair I can understand that. I don't think he deserves to have his career ruined over this but this scandal definitely hurt his image so early on in his career and doesn't particularly present himself well personality wise, especially since talking trash about a costar you were just working with in the past year is not ideal. I'm not sure what the reactions of Chinese media and netizens are but I'm sure he'll bounce back, as he's pretty reliant on his looks to begin with.

Title Strong Girl Bong Soon Spoiler
I do see some flaws in the show but somehow it really doesn't affect my enjoyment one bit.
I think you all summed it up perfectly! As with all dramas SWDBS does have it's flaws and they can be frustrating but for the most part I can say I'm most happy about how the romance is going, it's not rushed and it's somewhat...realistic which probably doesn't make sense considering it's a drama but that's the vibe I get from the eps. They're both discovering their feelings for each other at this point so I'm glad there was no rush in the romance!
On Park Hyung Sik Jan 9, 2017
My favorite actor right now, watched High Society for him and although I was disappointed with the other leads, he didn't fail to impress! Not to mention he's super handsome and irresistibly cute so can't help falling in love with him even in his historical get up in Hwarang!

Person Sung Dong Il
He's in a lot of dramas I've watched and I find his acting incredibly enjoyable, I particularly loved him as Dong Min in IOTL. So far enjoying him in Hwarang too!
