holy shee. alright, I literally just finished this drama. a few days ago, I said I couldn't enjoy this drama cos I came from Xu Kai's FIYS, but after the 12th episode... I can't stop crying???
I never thought Xu Kai is also in this level - I've watched a lot of deity c-dramas and only a few actors can really deliver the right facial expressions on heartbreaking scenes.
You might be confused on the first few episodes of this drama, tbh, I was confused and almost got lost too, but on the later parts, flashbacks will help you get back on the track and their conversations will help you understand what's going on.
As for the ending, many said that they should've added more scenes after (won't spoil) - but if you'll look at it since the very beginning and how the story have evolved, it's just right to end it that way.
I'd rate this one 9.5/10 - leaving that half out cos I couldn't stand problem after problem, though I know this kind of trope is common especially in deity dramas. :) also kudos to the OST! I swear, I start to cry as soon as I heard the music in the background- even tho the characters are not even crying yet TT TT
NOTE: You need to prepare yourself for this one, it's the kind of drama that will lowkey wreck you and hit you right in the feels. Prepare to feel empty after this drama, so I'm off to watch another to move on :))

No issue. We have different opinions anyway 😆 Guess I haven't found any actress that have chemistry with Xu Kai for long since The Legends (Bai Lu) and FIYS have good casting so it clicked well on me :)

I was actually considering this one before that but I saw clips on Twitter so I chose it instead… sigh but this one is a happy ending right? I’m ok with disappointing endings just need them to be together at the end or else I’ll crumble lol
It was a big mistake to watch Falling Into Your Smile before this drama TT TT you see, I’m a sucker of historical dramas with this kind of plot but I can’t enjoy this because of Xu Kai’s strong chemistry with Cheng Xiao… save me TT TT

I blame BTS clips of FIYS… I haven’t been like this since Go Go Squid TT TT but will continue this one so I can move on and suffer lol
