I literally finished watching it on Saturday and I'm already rewarching 😭

i haven't watched a kdrama in one sitting in a very loooong time, i can't even remember the last kdrama i watched. but i really enjoyed the webtoon and saw that ju ji hoon was leading as baek kanghyuk so i had to watch it and honestly it really did the webtoon justice! not only that but it was great, each part was enjoyable - the subtle comedy was my favourite. i must say really great casting! i kinda was hoping the episodes were longerrrrrrrrrr. really hoping for a season 2 - the webtoon also had a season 2 available on webtoon :)

I started guardians of dafeng with 0 expectation and legit was like I'll probs drop it (like i drop 99% of the dramas i watch) so might as well watch to pass time and bro I was wrong. I was very wronggggg. This show was the only thing I looked forward to after work, it made me laugh, it made me cry. I feel empty now that it's finished. I must say I haven't watched much of Wang Hedi's dramas but his acting especially in ep 39 to 40 was amazing. I felt every emotion xu qian felt. I really can't wait for the 2nd season, I really really hope it will be out soon

i'm really hoping for s2 they would give it more episodes and put more effort in editing the cgi, in some scenes it was obvious. It's a shame because I genuinly think this is a great start for 2025 for cdramas

the ending ost in ep 35 is actually soo beautiful, kinda reminds me of the s1 opening of joy of life

i just realised this now but since the first episode xu qi'an always found money on the floor and i thought this was just for the comedy aspect of the drama but only now am i realising it's because of the royal treasure, the fortune he has omgggg
