Something that's been bugging me from early on when Changyu was preparing the court appearance to keep the house:…
that would raise suspicion though, fyi her parents wanted to hide their identity even to her so teaching her in secret is not an option, her mother was not only a woman, but was not supposed to be of noble, period dramas, commoners, women are not educated bec men are the only ones given the opportunity to education (ie song yan) even nobles, only certain subjects were taught to women, her being able to fight is okay bec she knows that her father is an escort, she even questioned why yan zheng was educated, he just said he learned through traveling, so changyu would have questioned why her mother is educated while they were supposed to be commoners

i hope to see xie zheng fight full battle (without injuries) and show us the true nature of marquis of wu’an. i know this is changyu’s story, but xz just felt like a husband accessory right now, something to just uphold changyu by having this man downbad at her, not showing xz’s individuality, his title seem like all tell not show

Maybe I am the weirdo here but hear me out Where is the second couple??? Third Couple???I expected them bro and…
Meng Xiaodong and Lin Lin's story was just a tease or tip of their love story. Author might want to work on their love story in the future, which is why it wasn't giving much details, but just enough to interest on future plans, but the author was very known to only focus on the main couple, which to me is my kind of story. I have not seen one of her work to actually have a second couple.

Since the novel didn't really went further with their story (correct me if I'm wrong since i has been awhile when I read it) the drama cannot really put more than what the actual source material provides, they had followed the novel closely, and again the author could be planning on a spin off in the future. Many author does spin-off, one notable is the author of Hidden Love who had spin-off called First Frost.

Amidst a snowstorm of love ep 23 never seen this many white people in an Asian drama before . Also what video…
It natural to see many white people when the setting is in Findland, I would questioned it if there's more chinese in the area than white people.

Which conversation where you asking? was it the convo between XiaoTian? because if it is then he is talking about the live video of the game (nine-ball open) where Lin Yiyang had confess in public about his love for Yin Guo, because of time difference, XiaoTian was saying that everyone at home (YG's family) were already sleeping so none of her family saw LYY confession and didn't need to worry about getting caught (even though LYY implied that he's still pursuing her).

They asked him because he was basically a celebrity in the audience, he was talk of the town (at least in billiard community) just like when they have show a spotlight to his teacher when he watch him play again after a long time. They like to highlight popular people in the audience.

"not much journey" is definitely not it, He was into her, but the whole first part of the show was him trying…
I'm glad you have continued, there are quite few dramas that has a take on "love at first sight" or rather "attraction at first sight" the only time that this take wouldn't work for me was if the person they were attracted to was clearly an a**hole of a character (ehem Itazura na Kiss) but this one works for me because Yin Guo wasn't just attractive, she was also admirable, and good hearted, we get to see Lin Yiyang just keep falling into the rabbit hole with her that it's no longer just about attraction, it's his admiration of her (she is a nine-ball champion) and she is all around good person. I think to me that was a process, that was his journey of falling for her.

Stories didn't always has to start with enemy to lovers, hard take on this, this is even harder to accomplish as an author to make the transition believable. Reality is attraction starts between two people, then you grew to know each other, you starts falling beyond the first attraction, which to me was more of the realistic take of love story atleast the more common ones.

Another great drama that follows this take were 2023 popular titles When I Fly Towards You, and Hidden Love. Both drama had female lead attracted to male lead which then grew as they starts to see their good hearted nature. Amidst a Snowstorm of Love just had it the other way around where it's the male lead who fell first.

their love story doesn't stop with confession, you will experience their growth individually and together, and that was the best thing about this show

On episode 4 so far and I am kind of bored with the mundane dialog. Leo Wu is, as always, wonderful. No build…
"not much journey" is definitely not it, He was into her, but the whole first part of the show was him trying to pursue her when he isn't good at expressing himself in words, Yin Guo is a character that is very cautious, this was established at the minute her character was introduced, she doesn't just take a drink from a stranger, even when he showed all his ID to her, she still took picture of the taxi's plate number, she can assume his intention, but she is careful and doesn't like to jump into conclusions, Lin Yiyang doesn't express things in words, he express them through his actions but you can only assume when actions aren't verified with words, the first whole 5 episodes are their small steps of getting to know and getting closer to each other, it's also Yiyang's steps to express beyond just taking her out to meals, episode 6 was his confession, even then it was still greeted with uncertainty on her part because she was inexperience with love, she doesn't know if her feelings are love, that to me is the beauty of it, if you think these development and mundane situations aren't stepping stone to their whole journey, then I believe these is isn't simply for you.

If everyone ain't liking this drama why this got such high rating. Confused on should I watch it or not lol
most people are rating it during the first half of the show which was great then 2nd half happened and it was just awful it felt like a different writer continued the story, so the overall story was just bad because nothing was wrapped nicely and the couple didn’t really had moment to be couple, it felt like the sparked they have was suddenly gone.

I really disliked how Seungyeon was. I know it must have been evil-edited so I would say I dislike her as a "character"…
I agree with this very much, she was probably the only problem I have in the show, like it was the only thing distasteful and problematic

I’m on episode 5, and I’m sorry I was never really into person that cannot read the room, like someone pushing themselves into someone who clearly into another person, like no respect to another person’s feelings, it’s so annoying that the panel even encourage the behavior

Basically this season members were more chill, and mostly all became "friends"But the worst part was how much…
The only time they get to reveal their age is when they get to be with them on Paradise so no this is not about the age, this is about compatibility, the whole idea of the show was for them to appeal to one another despite not knowing their occupation and age. Soeun and Seulki gets pick the most bec two girls are obviously someone that appeals the most to the other men.
Replying to katy_dwarf Jan 22, 2023
For me - it's too much Seul Ki then other girls
because the other girls aren’t bringing anything in the table, if you actually watch the show, there is a huge chunk of airtime for SoE because of her loyalty to Yoongjae

there is a lot of airtime for SeoEun as well during the 1-4 ep bec of the love triangle between her, YJ and Hanbin. Their airtime was only cut bec Hanbin didn’t try anymore in later episodes

Seulki has gotten a lot of airtime only bec 3 male participants are after her, if you are a PD you wanted the drama, this show would have been a lot boring without the whole love triangle and competition, and considering that both JW & JY are a good competitor to one another makes the their love triangle a highlight.

Season 1 has recieved good feedback bec the competitors are great in bringing their game in the table, while Sejong tried but no one has even look at her, Nadine tried but no one was especially going after her and a lot of time a second option, Minsu came in late and had force herself to one person, even then she had spent quite a screentime with Jinyoung. Everyone accepted that Soeun had feelings for Yoongjae and it was mutual so there was no drama about it.

I think next time think why PD had to decide what will air or not, one producer even reacted that if she was in the show she could make it more entertaining, the show was only being talked because of the whole messy loveline (JY being liked by four women and SK being liked by three man) otherwise the show won’t survive at all

Question... Does anyone know if this show is scripted or not? I'm thinking to a certain extent, but would like…
it is not, this has been repeatly said by two season 1 participants

this is like a 10 hrs + show and they have spent 10 days (240hrs) during the entirety of it, we clearly did not…
When you are insinuating that he does not have connection with Seulki but has more connection with Nadine, THAT is forcing your own perspective to these people when they are the one to know exactly who they have connection with.

That is not an opinion, that is simply a comment that invalidates their own words
Replying to Big Chungus Jan 15, 2023
Nothing against Jin Young, he's not someone I'd be mates with but I'm really glad Seulki chose Jong Woo instead.…
i so agree with your comment about Nadine fans, they think Nadine is just so high above everybody else, but is begging Jinyoung to be with her, with her new youtube content coming that seems to be with Jinyoung, their narrative change lol

the biggest facepalm comment i’ve seen is that Seulki rejecting Jinyoung is Nadine Karma like they all just want to make it all about Nadine, it’s just ridiculous
Replying to Dani Jan 13, 2023
Final thoughts:My favorite contestants were Jongwoo, Hanbin, Nadine and So-e but I liked them all in general.…
this is like a 10 hrs + show and they have spent 10 days (240hrs) during the entirety of it, we clearly did not see most of their conversation or time together, and I would like for you to not to project what you feels and question their own feelings as they are adult and have mind of their own.

For you to say that Jinyoung have more connection with Nadine when he had clearly stated that he had more connection with Seulki was like forcing your own ideals to these people, which is crossing the line of being a viewer esp when these are real life people not some mere characters in some story.

In order to watch a reality show, you need to have the mindset that it isn’t about what you think, it isn’t about what you want, it isn’t your decision, and it isn’t your feelings, we shouldn’t be questioning their feelings. We can discuss their actions and decisions in a manner of not inserting your own ideals or own preferences.
