all/most men in this show cannot properly communicate, 1) Jang Uk who would use hurtful words to guard his heart ; 2) Maste Lee who could be very well useful but ended up just a decoration as this smart powerful mage bec for some reason he won’t say sht ; 3) Seo Yul who has hero complex feeling like he needs to be responsible for every little thing and would like to solve things by himself ; 4) Danggu who needed a push from Kim Do Joo before he was able to properly convey his feelings ; 5) Park Jin who is clueless as ever, took forever to confess ; 6) CP who could easily man up and kill Jin Mu and come clean with JU.

Gotta say Hong Sister’s weakness is writing characters

this i don’t understand as well like girlie doesn’t know how to use her energy/power yet which is something you use to make the jade glow but she is able to make it glow? idk the first part the egg reacted to her and starts glowing on it’s own so i had to look past on how she made it glow lol

Try putting yourself in these characters shoes and don’t see in your viewers eyes.

One, you need to rewatch that scene. Jang Uk was livid with her claims, fyi she had lied before, so her suddenly saying they have liked each other for a long time touch a sensitive matter to him because he only loved one person.

When Yeong had proved herself with words that was exchanged only between him and Mudeok, he was stunned. Like come on you really expect him to believe SHE is Mudeok? like you would believe someone dead would back to life? then she proceed and suggested it might be that her powers enables her to obtain memories from an object.

and read back to your definition of Gaslighting, it clearly says MANIPULATING.

Manipulation is a malicious intent that exercise influence over others.

Jang Uk isn’t manipulating Yeong that the memories is not her, she led herself to believe that she can get the object’s owner’s memories because of her powerful divine powers. So again where is the gaslighting?

umnn to refresh your memory, she is NOT defending herself in the beginning of the show, her next target is Park Jin and she was willing to do it because she thought he killed her father for no reason.

All her inner thoughts were “once I get my power back, I will kill you” and yet you tell me she wasn’t a cold blooded killer? she is willing to kill people, she is willing to sacrifice a servant to save herself, sorry she ain’t innocent the way you paint her.

There is a huge difference in lying with good intent vs lying to control, it’s not all black and white, there is a gray area. Yeong now would lie to save herself, Naksu would lie even if it’s to Jang Uk’s death.

She right now does not have her sadistic side and woke up with no memories of JinMu’s way of teaching her to be coldhearted, THAT is the difference.

Just from the way she interact with both CP & Yul tells a lot, Yul tells her Mudeok never did treat her with his favorite treats doubt she even knew, Yeong was kind enough to ask. Mudeok to CP was just all pretensions, trying to suck up on him, but here she was genuine with him.

Kindness is so clear difference between them, which is why i prefer her to be what she is now.

Unpopular opinion: I want her to stay as someone who doesn’t hold Naksu’s memories.

JBY/Yeong we see is the best version of herself, I’ll take this sweet, kind, open person more than a cold blooded assasin who likes to hide her feelings, and manipulate people.

The way how genuine her interaction with CP & Yul, I questioned how these two even fell for Mudeok. She was nothing but hostile to both of them. She only show a little bit of kindness to JU.

Jang Uk knew exactly who has those memories (someone who is clearly dead). JBY suggested it might have been because of her divine powers that she can look at someone’s memories through the object.

You need to understand what gaslighting is because you seem to have th wrong idea what it means.

This episode has change my mind about him, to me he is just someone who seeks the comfort of having someone to talk to, someone who sees him for who he is, he is someone who is a good person but was corrupted by JinMu like Naksu is.

When she mentioned about her husband, you cannot traced any jealousy or startled reaction, and genuinely advises her by saying he kept the turtle as she had compared herself to turtle, in a way it shows her that her husband would eventually come back to her even though he like somebody else.

I like this dynamic so much better than CP & Mudeok

We are all questioning why people cannot recognized Naksu when Jang Gang is roaming around and no one recognized him.

Lets remind everyone that people taught Naksu soul shift, when the whole blue scraf crazed happend, they suspect it’s Naksu even when the figure was a man, now EVERYONE knows Mudeok is Naksu, Naksu in their mind is Mudeok’s face.

Yeong now has more soft features, Heoyeom, Danggu, Yul has all seen her as died and frozen body, sleeping at that, Yul who is more attached to her atleast feel like she looks familiar, unfortunately they have no picture of Naksu who is 3 yrs memory of a dead body.

Park Jin who fought with her also has Naksu with Mudeok’s face on his mind, the fact that her body was BURNED is aicing on the cake. Park Jin still also calls her Mudeok just this episode.

Anybody here watch “Wednesday” when she witness someone died and then sees that same person again, there’s only one thing her brain suggest, she is losing her mind. Our mind would easily rejects impossible things.

Let’s put all points together…
1. Naksu has Mudeok’s face
2. Naksu’s body is BURNED
3. Events happened 3yrs ago

unless you grown up or was special to someone (enough to have your face stored in ther long term memory), no one would remember somebody esp as pictures aren’t a thing during this time

ok perfect that’s what i assume as well, i thought they are pulling more sht for the sake of plot convinience when there were never instances before that someone could summon soul of the dead

I cannot defend Park Jin, mind could really messed with people esp when they all knew Naksu looks like Mudeok and she died, even JinMu has seen Naksu grown, but still he questions why JBY would look like her, there’s still doubt.

The entire village people did not get a good look on her corpse, and they literally saw her BODY burned, you see someone burned infront of you, you would never suspect that same body will be running around, also people also knew Naksu is Mudeok, the face of Naksu was now the face of Mudeok in their mind.

I’m gonna set a realistic example, most people does not remember people that they have no interest or did not interact with for so long, do you remember each cast from all the shows you watch? something I see an actor and later realize the same actor was playing on the current show i was watching, again that’s just how brains works

can someone enlighten me how Jin Mu will be able to summon Naksu’s soul when she is dead already? like did I missed something?

I would only like for Yul to be an instrument to make Jang Uk further realize he has feelings for her, and Yul is a decent guy, from the preview today, he was flustered because her clothes were wet which is why he covers her, so hoping he stay to be the good person who doesn’t go after his friend’s wife

Oh NaRa revealed that Kim Do Ju, isn’t actually her character’s real name, this whole time i thought her name was a pun (this is the effect of watching too many animes).

i hate how AOS staffs/tvn choose to always spoils the kissing scene like I have watch most kdrama and twitter timeline and mdl comment section freakin out when the kissing scenes comes on, the impact was different when you were surprise when the scenes comes on, it felt so raw, but all throught out AOS part 1, i never felt anything about kissing scene because i knew they are gonna happen, the impact just felt flat, ugh they need to change whoever is approving of releasing these stills

I like her better now too, just this Mudeok without pretentions, and Naksu without killer motives. Though the ones she killed are to her, something that are connected to her father’s death, but in reality they are soulshifters that is used by Jinmu and him getting rid of them so they don’t get connected with him. So in perspective, she wasn’t really killing innocent.

but… Naksu has the “once i get my power back, I will kill you” kind of thing during her earlier Mudeok days so it was a flaw that I’m glad she grew out with and in the end chooses to be with Jang Uk instead of going back to her old ways.

Lady Jin reminds me so much of Gothel and how she treats Naksu, is like how Gothel treats Rapunzel. She was only nice to her because she needed her bloodline to continue.

and am I the only one who doesn’t felt attachment towards the real BY? like she was barely a character to me, we saw a glimpse of her helping Jang Uk during soulshift, So-i’s memory of her, and her speaking to Mudeok. She was just this character with such great powers, but that’s it. She wasn’t someone who’s presence in the story affects me.

I feel like those who liked her just want this idea a powerful female lead, and/or are SoMin bias that they just want the whole Jaewook & Somin pairing that they do not care about their characters.

Naksu currently has Jin blood on her because it is stilll JBY’s body/blood. The reason she has divine powers but unable to use because she has to unlock her memories before she can used the body’s power, but JBY is dead, Master Lee had already stated.

that wouldn’t be anytime soon, Jin family needed someone they can named as heir soon because if they can wait for babies, Lady Jin wouldn’t rush and reveal JBY

I believe they don’t think Choyeon is powerful enough to be the heir, powerful bloodline of Jin comes from the eldest child.

Also, if Cho Yeon is the heir her husband needs to tied down to her family, so if she chooses to marry Park Danggu, Danggu needs to leave his position as Songrim leader. Park Jin could step up again but he stepped down because he took responsibility of Jang Uk’s crime for keeping Naksu. Songrim will be left with no leader.
